“I know Mom-“
You sang, your feet leading you up the creaky staircase to your third floor apartment. You were fiddling with your purse, trying to find your keys as the phone was tucked into your shoulder and pressed against your ear. Your mom’s muffled voice rang again, more upset than before.
“I told you I don’t want you to be by yourself. What about your friend, uh what was her name… Margie?”
You sighed, still digging through the messy purse.
“Darcy, her name was Darcy, Mom.”
“Well why don’t you two become roommates? She was a sweet girl-“
You paused trying to find the missing keys when you reached your apartment door.
“She’s living with her girlfriend… Besides, I'll be fine. I need to be on my own for a while. This neighborhood isn’t too bad, a few drug dealers here and there.”
Your mom gasped lightly and you could almost see her hitting your shoulder through the phone. She said your name loudly, almost in a warning to not joke about that.
You giggled lightly, letting out a quick “Aha!” when your fingers found the keys.
“Kidding. Ok, well I gotta let you go Mom. I have to do dishes, clean, y’know what single people do.”
“Ok sweetie, just be safe.”
“I always am.”
You both said your goodbyes before you hung up the phone and opened the door of your freshly furnished apartment. You entered and it was still slightly messy from unpacking and it had the smell of old mildewy carpet. You set your phone and keys on the counter, sighing as you glanced around the small apartment. The room was quiet and still, and the only thing that you could hear was the feet pounding in the room above you and the honking of cars outside your open window.
The rest of your day was boring to say the least. You cooked yourself dinner, a frozen pizza and a glass of red wine. You then proceed to waltz around your living room, with said glass of wine in hand, trying to decide what to unpack first with your eyes flying to a box of old wedding gifts labeled “Shit asshole didn't want!”. You thought about it then and there that maybe you should've thrown away the ‘shit’ from your cheating ex-husband but you couldn't. You paused, the sound of bass rumbling through the walls, vibrating your kitchen. You stopped in your kitchen, pressing your ear against the wall. The melody of some old rock song you didn't know flowing through your walls. And then it stopped.
You walked towards your door, hearing the yelling of an old lady who lived a few doors down. You had briefly met earlier that week, her name slipping from your mind. You opened your door to find your neighbor next to you and the older woman arguing. You leaned against the doorframe, the wine glass was still in your hand, and you swirled it before taking another sip as you watched the conversation play out.
“-turn the music down!”
“It wasn't even loud, Sheryl, it was like…quiet.” Sheryl. That was her name. A name to suit a cranky old lady that was for sure. You couldn't see the neighbor, due to a head of gray curly hair blocking your sight.
“Quiet?!”
“For me, yes.”
“Just turn it down before I tell the landlord, again.”
“No wait- ok fine i'll turn it down.” They both said something, but it was too quiet and they were too far away for you to hear. And then the old lady turned around her eyes meeting yours before she scolded you, and walked down the stairs. The elevator was broken, and had been for a few months from what your landlord told you. You were glad you didn’t live on the fifth floor. You watched her until she was gone and met the eyes of your neighbor. She was wearing a large baggy t-shirt with the band Metallica plastered over it and her hair was black and short, ears length. She was wearing plaid pajama pants and bunny slippers, which made you slightly surprised.
“Just to let you know, it doesn't bother me.” You said as she stared at you, her eyes squinting at you.
“Noted.” She said before she turned around, about to shut the door but you were fast and you stopped her door with your hand, and she gazed at you through a small gap.
“What are you doing?”
“Introducing myself.” You said, and you gave her your name. She stared at you, and you waited for her to introduce herself too but she just stood there staring at you for a few seconds. But, then she looked down at the glass of wine in your hand and opened the door a little wider.
“I’m Lee.” She introduced, sticking her hand out to you. You shook it lightly, and she was about to close the door again when you spoke up.
“Uh, I live next door. Three-sixteen”
“I know.” She said before she slammed the door in your face and you were stuck staring at the numbers 314 before music blared again, slightly quieter than before but still loud. You turned around sighing, walking back to your door but stopped when you saw a girl, no older than twelve, sitting at the stairs staring at you. You smiled at her and waved, but she didn't even budge. She made no move to wave back or even manage a smile.
She just stared at you, eyes not moving. It was slightly intimidating. She kept staring at you until you made it back to your door, and entered your apartment. You blew air out of your mouth, and stared at the boxes again, your hands on your hips as you set the empty glass of win in the sink. They were haunting you waiting to be put away. And that's what you ended up doing for the rest of the night and only one box sat, untouched by you.
The next morning you planned to go job-hunting. You had tried every place in the area hiring for servers, but none seemed the least bit interested in actually hiring people. Before your divorce, you had planned on becoming a professional ballet dancer, and you were quite good, amazing even, but your ex-husband had demanded you do something to at least make a little more money. And you did. You quit going to dance school to become a full-time bartender at some lousy bar. You always thought your ex-husband was jealous of you, and now you truly believed he had crushed your dreams because he was envious of your talent. The last place on your list was a bar a block from your apartment complex, walking distance. It was small, but loud as you entered the bar.
You sat down at the bar, all the way at the end, waiting for someone to speak to you, but a few minutes went by before you heard yelling from the kitchen.
“Fine! I don’t give a fuck, fire me! Good luck finding someone to get you money!” A girl, with curly black hair and gold hoops on her ears, exited the kitchen as a chubby bald man trailed behind her. Both of them looked heated, in some kind of argument and you sat up, listening.
“Maria, you can't solicit guests here, that's prostitution!” He yelled, his hands flying in the air.
“Why do you care?”
“Because you're my niece and I really don't want your mother-”
“Ok well I quit!” The man put his fingers to his forehead, and they both started yelling in a foreign language you couldn’t understand before Maria stormed out of the bar with a scream, the door slamming behind her. The man, possibly the owner, looked around the bar before his eyes landed on you. You looked away quickly, to hide yourself but he started to approach you.
“Hi, uh sorry about that,” He cleared his throat. “Can I get you anything?” He asked and you looked at him before replying.
“Are you hiring?”
“As of three seconds ago, yes.”
“Need a new server?”
Within three minutes of speaking with the owner, whose name you learned was Pascal, he had hired you on the spot and asked you to come in the next Friday, prepared for training. You assured him you had loads of experience and didn't need to train but he insisted. He told you the bar was always slow, mostly consisting of older men and told you to be ready for anything these men tried. After training that Friday, you got home late that night, around twelve in the morning, exhausted. You entered your apartment, showering and changing into shorts and a tank top (It was summer-time and the AC didn't work on your floor).
As you got into bed, ready to fall asleep for the night, a loud guitar bass sounded through your apartment. You groaned, grabbing a pillow and shoving it to your face and you could still hear the music coming from your neighbor. After about ten minutes of this, you sat up walking to your door to speak to your neighbor and their music. It usually didn't bother you but tonight you were not in the mood to not get sleep over AC/DC. You knocked on Lee’s door not once but five times, the final time banging both of your fists loudly against the door before the music stopped and Lee opened the door, a guitar pick in her mouth.
“What?” She questioned, as if she were clueless.
“Please turn it down, I really need some sleep.”
“No can do, I have a showcase tomorrow.”
“Just turn it down, my room is right next door.” Lee nodded before she slammed the door in your face, the music blaring again seeming more loud than before. You groaned loudly, kicking her door annoyingly with your foot.
“If you ask her to turn it down, she just makes it louder.” You turned to find a man you hadn't met before, keys in his hand as he was watching you, a smug look on his face. As if this was amusing to him. He was wearing jeans and boots, and a large jacket, as if it wasn't eighty degrees outside. He had brown hair, and gray hairs were poking through. He looked permanently angry, the lines across his face showing that. He was across the hall from you, the only thing separating you were the stairs. You crossed your arms over your chest, scoffing.
“You can't hear it from my apartment.” He said, and you stood up straighter, your hands dropping at your side, his invitation surprising you. Was he actually inviting you into his apartment? You laughed, slightly offended.
“If you think-” He turned his back to you, opening the door with his keys before he slammed the door shut, the sound echoing down the hallway. You stood there in disbelief before you entered your apartment, the sound of guitars and drums the only thing you heard for the next two hours.
“Darcy, you have to visit me. This place is wack, there's an annoying emo girl next to me, some old lady downstairs that's always complaining about something, this Firestarter lookalike and some creepy guy across the hall.” You complained on the phone the next night, talking to your best friend, Darcy. You met Darcy at college, she was a music major and actually graduated pursuing her dreams of becoming an Opera singer. She was fantastic and you always loved watching her.
“Sounds fun. All of our neighbors are old couples.” You groaned, plopping down on your couch.
“I wish.”
“How are you holding up? And don't lie to me.” You glanced at the untouched box of things from your ex-husband.
“I'm fine, really.” She said your name over the phone, almost like a warning. “I'm fine!” You said, laying down on the couch.
“Ok well it’s only been a couple months. How’s your new job going?”
“It’s good. Enough to keep me going for now, my boss is…weird but not creepy. The place is-” You stopped talking when a knock sounded throughout your apartment coming from your door.
“Hey, I'll talk to you later Darcy.” You got up from the couch, hanging up the phone. You opened your door to find no one there except the mysterious girl on the staircase. You exited your apartment, closing the door and you leaned against it. You two stared at each other for a while before you spoke up.
“Do you like staring at strangers?” She didn't move but continued to stare at you. For the past week she had been always sitting at the staircase when you left or entered staring at you.
“Ok, which apartment do you live in-?” The door across the hall opened, and the man from the night before exited. He got caught off guard seeing you and looked a little surprised. He ignored you, and walked towards the staircase picking up the girl's hand and dragging her towards Lee’s apartment. He banged on the door, and a few seconds later a very upbeat Lee opened the door.
“Oh, Wolvy, got a hot date tonight?” Lee’s eyebrows went up, wiggling suggestively.
“Just watch her please.” He said gruffly, before pushing her lightly towards Lee. Lee sighed, turning back to look into her apartment and turning back to an annoyed ‘Wolvy’. He rolled his eyes, muttering to Lee about not calling him ‘Wolvy’. He turned around to leave and as he was going down the stairs his eyes met yours and then he was gone.
Before they both entered Lee’s apartment, the girl pulled Lee’s ear towards her mouth, whispering something in her ear. Lee burst out laughing before telling her a straightforward ‘No. Absolutely not.’. The girl just stared at her before Lee sighed, turning towards you.
“She wants to know-“ The girl growled, glaring at Lee. “I want to know if you’d like to join us for the evening.” You blinked, smiling.
“Of course, I would be delighted. You know-“ Lee shushed you.
“Just come on.”
Lee's apartment was exactly how you imagine it would be. Multiple posters of rock bands you didn’t know were decorated across every wall. There were multiple guitars and a set of drums in the corner of her living room. Her apartment was a mess but it seemed to suit her anxious state as she’d frantically ran around trying to clean up old Chinese takeout sitting on the counter and clean laundry on her couch.
“Just uh- sit on the floor.” Lee said as she ran to her room quickly. You and the little girl sat far away from each other, as you waited for Lee to come back. You looked at her, awkwardly smiling. She just stared at you, no emotions.
“So uh- how’s school?”
“She’s homeschooled!” Lee yelled from where she was and you clicked your tongue feeling embarrassed.
“How’s um homeschool?” She just kept staring, before she began to open her mouth to speak. Then Lee bounded into the room loudly, cutting her off.
“Ok what should my Halloween costume be, kid?” She was holding up two costumes, shaking them in front of the kid’s face.
“It’s August?” You questioned, and the girl smiled before she pointed at the one with Jean shorts and a black tank top.
“Exactly what I was thinking!” She yelled before running off to her room again. “Oh and her name is Laura!” She yelled from her room again and you nodded.
“Well, hello Laura.” You said before you told her your name, introducing yourself.
“Hi.” She said quietly, almost shyly. Lee then ran into the room again.
“Did she just talk to you?” She said, smiling at you. “That’s awesome! Logan is going to be psyched when he hears-“
Logan.
“Logan?”
“Her legal guardian. Y'know the big gruff dude that’s all ‘I’m big and angry because I’m lonely’” She said the last part in a deep voice and you laughed nodding your head.
“If he has Laura, why is he lonely?” You asked, but you knew what she meant.
“In all the years I’ve been here he’s never once brought a girl home. Ever. And I mean never.”
“Where does he go then?”
“To box.”
“Box?” Lee nodded, sitting on the ground next to Laura.
“He used to be this really big professional boxer. The Wolverine,” That tracked. “He got hurt real bad and just never went back. He’s just recently been training again. I guess that’s his release besides sex. Because the guy never gets puss-” She said before she laughed again and you looked at Laura embarrassed.
“Don’t worry she’s heard me say way worse things. Right, kid?” She said, ruffing her hair with her knuckles. Laura groaned, pushing her hand away.
“I’m not a kid.” She grumbled, glaring at Lee.
The rest of the night consisted of Lee and Laura arguing occasionally. Lee would make fun of Laura and then Laura would return that with a glare. You sat quietly in the corner, laughing at them. At the end of the night, the doorbell rang at around midnight and Laura and Lee were fast asleep while you were wide awake watching some cartoons with them.
You stood walking to the door, and opened it to find Logan looking less angry than before. He looked surprised to see you at the door, he must have been expecting Lee. He just stared at you, not saying a word, and you cleared your throat standing with the door open. You pointed your thumb at them.
“They’re sleeping.” You said before stepping outside, closing the door quietly. “Here for Laura?” You asked leaning against the door with your back. He stared at you for a second before he shook his head, like he was in a trance.
“Um, yeah.” He said, tucking his hands in his coat pockets. It wasn’t even cold outside. Yet he still wore that damn jacket. You stuck your hand out, telling him your name and his eyes widened before he reluctantly cupped your hand. His hands were large and rough, and they were bruised with red and purple slightly bleeding. You stopped shaking his hand, to grip it and bring it to your eyes.
“What happened to your hand?” He pulled his hand away fast, hiding it in his coat again. He got flustered, shaking his head.
“Work.” He replied shortly, and you hummed, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Laura’s a great kid.” You said, motioning with your head inside the apartment to where Laura was fast asleep. He nodded, trying to hide a smile.
“Yeah. I know.”
“I can wake her if you want-“
“No, no she needs the sleep. I’ll just grab her.” You led Logan inside, and he carried Laura bridal style until you guys were outside Lee’s apartment again.
“I can open your door if you want.” You said, smiling invitingly at him. He stood there for a second before he nodded telling you that his keys were in his coat pocket. You moved closer to him, grabbing his keys, close enough to smell him. He smelled like leather and cedar wood, and you fought the urge to get closer. His head was turned the other way, away from you and you took the keys from his pocket following him to his apartment. You opened his door before letting Logan enter first, to go lay Laura down.
You stood outside for a moment, looking at the dark apartment through the open door, before you muttered fuck it walking inside. You set the keys on the kitchen counter, observing the layout. There were no lights on, and it was extremely cold. There wasn’t any decor from what you could see through the darkness, on furniture and utensils. It was also very clean, the opposite of Lee’s apartment. It looked like Logan didn’t have much to clean. Logan’s boots sounded and he found you standing at the kitchen counter, a shocked look on his face.
“Oh uh- sorry I just-“ You started to say, before Logan stopped you putting his hands up.
“No, it’s alright.” It was silent for a few seconds before Logan moved to turn the light on in the kitchen. It looks like you were taking up his offer after all.
“You can uh sit down if you want.” He pointed towards his brown leather couch in the center of the apartment and you closed his apartment door, before sitting down with a loud plop. He slowly sat down next to you, on the opposite end of the couch. It was awkwardly quiet again before you spoke.
“Is she your daughter?” You asked, turning your body towards him. He was silent for a moment and you were scared that you overstepped.
“No.” Was all he said and it was quiet once again. You nodded, getting that it was a sensitive topic.
“If you’re wondering, Laura asked me to come with them, for some reason.” You said, laughing quietly.
“Yeah, I noticed she’s been stalking you.” He said, turning to look at you for the first time. He looked away from you quickly, shaking his head.
“I’m sorry about what I said to you. The first night I met you- that was-“ You furrowed your eyebrows shaking your head.
“No, it didn’t bother me. I’m here now anyway.” You awkwardly laughed not realizing the meaning behind your words. Fuck. That’s not what you meant to say. You got slightly embarrassed, your cheeks feeling hot. He just kind of stared at you, swallowing roughly.
“It’s late um-“ You stood and he stood with you.
“Yeah.”
“Good night,” You paused to look at him. “Logan.”
The next morning was even more awkward. You left your apartment, to run to errands to find Logan leaving his apartment at the exact same time. You both stared at each other, before you said a quiet hello before trodding down the stairs.
The next two months consisted of both of you bumping into each other, awkwardly saying hello, before trying to avoid each other. It was kind of hard, you both arrived and left at the same time. You had day shifts and he always seemed to be leaving when you would arrive.
You were currently in Lee’s apartment, and she was eating a bowl of cheese puffs with chopsticks. You were sitting on her couch, chowing down on potato chips, watching her skeptically.
“And tell me why you’re eating with chopsticks?”
“My grandmother gave these to me!”
“And you’re using them for… Cheetos?”
“Yes.” She replied, before stuffing another cheese puff into her mouth.
“So what are you wearing to my Halloween party?” Lee asked, wiggling her eyebrows. You fought the urge to laugh at her, watching her mouth slowly become covered in orange dust.
“I’m not going.” You said, hugging your knees to your chest and setting the bag of chips down. Lee looked at you with a mouth open full of Cheetos.
“What?!” She yelled at you, throwing the chopsticks on the table near the couch.
“I don’t know. I’m not a partier-“
“There isn’t going to be that many people. Just like my band, the people in this complex, others-“
“That sounds like a lot. Besides, I haven't gone out since the divorce.”
“Exactly. That gives you all the reasons to go.” She was right of course. You hadn’t dressed up in months. You hadn’t felt confident since your ex-husband gave you those papers to file for a divorce. You groaned, flopping your belly on the couch.
“Fine. I’ll go. But, I’m not saying for long.” You said and her smile soon fell.
“Sure…what if I told you I could convince Logan to come?” She said, a mischievous look in her eyes.
“What about him?” You were acting like you didn’t know what she was talking about. You had been avoiding Logan for about two months after your awkward encounter. You told Lee about it and she told you he was always giving you ‘fuck me’ eyes. You laughed it off, but you kind of hoped he was.
“If I tell him you’re going he’ll definitely go.” You shook your head.
“I doubt it. He’s very…introverted and quiet.” You noticed how much he liked to be by himself. You wondered if it was by choice or not. He did have Laura, and that might’ve been all he needed.
“He’s lonely. A lonely old man who needs a release.” She said, sighing and sitting next to you again. Whenever she got excited about something she opted to stand when talking to you.
“So, you know my sister right? Complete opposite of me?” Lee had told you about her twin sister, Kim, and how she was a fashion designer. “Well, I sort of kind of told her to make you a costume.”
“A costume? I’m not twelve.” You said, slightly grumbling.
“But, that’s the fun!”
“Well, what costume is it?” Lee looked like she was holding her breath before she told you.
“A sexy devil.”
“Lee…”
“Come on! It'll be fun! I’m going to be Marilyn Manson-”
“Marilyn Manson? Really?”
“I already told Kim you'd wear it.”
“Lee!” You pushed her lightly, and she laughed as she fell on the couch.
The next thing you knew, it was the night of Lee’s infamous Halloween party. You were uncomfortably adjusting the latex suit Lee had given you. You had no idea just how slutty this costume was. It was incredibly tight in all the right places and was low-cut leaving no one any room for imagination. You accompanied it with black heels and two red devil horns on your head. God, what were you thinking?
Lee gasped, a loud squeal leaving her lips as she opened the door to find you standing there, playing with the top part of your outfit. She was wearing white face paint and black eyeliner to look like Marilyn Manson but she ended up looking like a Kiss member with her layered straight black hair and alternative outfit.
“Is this too much?” You asked, still adjusting. Lee pulled your hands away, her jaw at the floor.
“Damn mama! I see you! It's Halloween! Nothing is too much.” She said, pulling you into the apartment that was blasting music already. There were a few people present, not many faces you recognized except some people from downstairs. Lee quickly pulled you into the kitchen, and handed you a red solo cup with some sort of neon green liquid. You both leaned against the counter-top.
“Okay, so I did some convincing and I’m most certain Logan will be here tonight. Probably to steal a beer and leave but, that's better than nothing. Mrs. Baker downstairs is taking the kid trick-or-treating.” You still didn't understand why Lee always told you about Logan’s whereabouts. It’s not like you cared. You somewhat cared. You always found yourself looking back at his apartment every time you left or entered your own apartment. He was only across the hall. One door away. You nodded, trying to seem nonchalant about it, as you took a sip out of the drink in your hand and quickly started to cough.
“What the fuck is in here?” You asked, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand.
“Tequila, tequila and more tequila. And a drop of green food coloring.” You laughed lightly, before setting the cup back on the counter.
“Yeah, I'll pass.”
Soon enough, the apartment was filled with about 30 or so people. Not a lot, but there were a ton of people in Lee’s small apartment. You had been sitting on her couch for the past hour watching people come and go. You were bored out of your mind. You didn't know anybody besides Lee, and she was busy mingling with her guests. You stood up from the couch, about to leave for the door, when a certain neighbor entered the party.
Logan didn’t see you at first as he scanned the partygoers. He kept his head low as he entered, probably not wanting to draw any attention to himself. You watched as he made a bee-line for the kitchen and you followed him into the empty room. You found him tucked below the fridge as you entered, probably looking for a beer. You spoke up as he was moving things around, still searching.
“The beer’s in the cooler over there.” He jumped up, hitting his head on the top of the fridge as he turned around to find you standing there. He said nothing as he stared at you, his eyes moving up and down your figure in that costume. He swallowed loudly, before he looked around to find the cooler, pulling a beer can out of it and cracking it open. He took a long sip, his eyes falling upon you again. You were still standing there staring at him. He wasn't wearing a jacket but a regular t-shirt and you realized this was the first time you had ever seen his arms. And you couldn't stop staring at them as he took swigs from his can of beer.
You quickly decided to distract yourself by grabbing a red solo cup and filling it with whatever god awful concoction Lee had made. You took a sip before you moved to stand on the same side as Logan, hopping on top of the counter to sit. It was quiet again between the two of you, even though Logan had not spoken a word yet, and the only sound was the drowned out music in the background. You both were fairly close to each other, about as thigh’s width apart. He was leaning his back against the counter while you were sitting upon it. You turned towards him, hiding your smile below your cup as you took a sip.
“So, what's your costume?” You asked, as he stiffened slightly, taking another long sip from his beer before slamming it on the counter and grabbing another one from the cooler.
“The Wolverine.” He said, cracking open the can and you swore you saw him smirk a bit before taking a sip. You snorted, taking a gulp from your own drink.
“Can you guess what I am?” You asked, tilting your head to the side, gesturing with your hands at your costume. His head turned to look at you, scanning your frame and the way it sat atop the counter.
“Yourself?” He asked, turning his head away from you and hiding his smile beneath his beer can. His hands were gripping the beer can and you couldn't help but stare at them. They were large and thick, almost encompassing the can whole beneath his grip. You shook the thoughts away.
“Funny!” You said, narrowing your eyes. You both sat in comfortable silence, sipping on your drinks when you turned to him again, your body facing his. “What made you come?” You asked innocently. He took another long gulp from his beer before answering.
“Lee begged me to come. I wasn’t going to take the kid out trick-or-treating just because well… I just never have. Mrs…” He paused as if to remember her name.
“Baker?”
“Yeah her… she asked to take her this year because her grandchildren weren’t coming.” He took another sip from his beer before setting it on the counter.
“What made you come?” He asked, turning his head to look at you.
“Lee insisted.” You said, laughing as Logan shook his head. Just then, as if you summoned her, Lee barged into the kitchen, laughing as she did. You and Logan both jumped, turning to look at her quickly. She stopped laughing as soon as she saw you both.
“I knew it!” She screamed, running back out into the party. You furrowed your eyebrows, turning back to Logan to see him grabbing a third beer from the cooler. You downed the last bit of your drink, before hopping off the counter and Logan looked up at you, his eyebrows raised.
“I’ll uh- see you around?” You said, leaning against the counter.
“You leavin’?” He asked, setting the unopened can of beer on the counter, his hand next to it as he leaned. You didn’t realize how close he was until you could feel his breath on your neck. He was staring at the uncovered spot on your neck, as he spoke to you.
“Yeah- I have work tomorrow and-“
“So?” Why was he so adamant? You tilted your head, smirking at him.
“Do you want me to stay?” Say it. You wanted him to say it so bad. You wanted him to tell you to stay, to go back to his apartment. But he didn’t. He just shook his head, moving away from you and a frown made its way on your face. You sighed, slightly annoyed.
“Tell Laura happy Halloween.” You said, crossing your arms over your chest and leaving the kitchen, leaving Logan alone with his beer. You didn’t even look at him before you left. Why was he always making insinuations but never acting on them?
The next few weeks you had been ignoring him whenever he looked to you across the hallway. He looked hurt, but you didn’t care. You were so annoyed. But you didn’t know why.
Your boss had recently put you behind the bar, assigning you to later shifts. And one particular night, the neighbor across the hall was now at a stool in front of you. You were pouring a bourbon for a regular across the bar, you looked up for a second meeting the eyes of Logan who was watching you intensely. Your mouth fell open and you jumped slightly not expecting to see him at all.
“I didn’t know you worked here.” That was a complete lie. Logan had actually known for weeks that you worked here. You ignored him, walking across the bar to hand your customer their drink. You hastily returned to Logan, a beer in your hand. You set it in front of him and his eyebrows went up, taking the bottle into his hands. He was about to say something else when another customer to your left rang out.
“Hey, sweetheart! Another one?” The man jiggled his empty beer bottle in the air and your face visibly dropped, your shoulders stiffening. Logan noticed, perking up to look at the man across the bar. You clenched your jaw, forcing a sweet polite smile on your face as you turned to the drunken man.
“Sure thing.” You muttered, keeping your voice steady but Logan’s gaze lingered on you as you moved around to grab another beer. Logan took a long swig from his drink, before setting it on the counter still staring at the oblivious man across the bar. When you gave the man his beer, he winked at you making your skin crawl. Logan’s hand tightened around the empty beer bottle when you turned around oblivious to the man very obviously staring at your ass.
“What the fuck you looking at pal?” The man snarled at Logan and Logan growled deeply.
“Mind your business, bub.” He said grimly, and the man at the bar stood abruptly. Logan was staring straight on at the man his hand clenched tightly around the neck of the bottle until-
Crack!
The bottle split open, falling into Logan’s palm and onto the counter of the bar. Glass was all over his hands and he was slightly bleeding. Your mouth fell open, and you rushed to grab a rag from underneath the bar. You appeared back in front of Logan as he looked up at you. You sighed loudly, grabbing his hand and wrapping the white cloth around his wounds.
“What the fuck?” You muttered quietly, still holding his hand. He didn’t shy away from you or move away. He just swallowed harshly as you held his bleeding palm. “How did you do that?” You let go of his hand sighing, and walking around the bar to meet Logan. You turned to face the kitchen as you stood next to Logan.
“I’m taking my break now!” You shouted, cupping your hands over your mouth and grabbing Logan by the hand out the back door towards an alleyway. Logan didn’t even have time to react before you were harshly pulling him by his uninjured hand towards the back door. You exited the door slamming it shut before shoving Logan down on a crate.
“What the fuck, Logan?” Logan was confused why you were upset, and you anxiously paced in front of him digging your fingers through your hair.
“You’re mad at me?”
“Yes! Why the fuck are you here?” Logan didn’t have an answer. He didn’t know why he was there. He was there for a drink, that was it. At least that’s what he told himself. He found out weeks ago where you worked. He hadn’t worked up the courage to see you. Until now.
“I…” You scoffed, a bitter laugh escaping you.
“See you never seem to have an answer do you?”
“An answer for what exactly?”
You stopped pacing, narrowing your eyes at him. The tension was thick, thicker than the cold November breeze that rang through the tight alleyway. You tried to keep your emotions in check. You tried so hard. But you couldn’t. It was hard when you were so angry. So mad. And for what? Because Logan had been avoiding you? Because you did the same? Truly what were you mad about? A second later your voice betrayed you, as if it had a mind of its own.
“Do you not get it?”
Logan froze. Logan looked down at his hands, softly raising the hand that you had put a rag on, blood softly soaking through. The hand you had touched so delicately. So softly that he wanted you to touch it again. Touch him again.
“Why did you get so angry back there?”
Logan looked up at you, flexing his hands into a tight fist, his biceps pulsing through his flannel.
“I don’t like seeing women getting disrespected-“
“No, Logan. What really made you angry?”
Logan’s eyebrows furrowed as you kneeled, getting on his level in front of him as he sat on the crate. You set your hands in your lap, peering up at him questionably. Awaiting an answer. A part of you knew exactly why he was so angry. You just wanted him to say it out loud. You needed him to say it out loud.
“I was…” He stopped talking as you tilted your head, shaking it tightly, disapproving of his trailed off sentence. You rose, now sitting up on your knees gazing at Logan. You moved closer to him, now right in front of his face.
“What made you so mad? Was it that another man wanted to touch me? Look at my ass? Another man wanted me? Is that it, Logan?” You purred, and Logan growled at the thought. It made him furious. You smiled, clicking your tongue. “I see…”
“No man should be touching you…”
“But…?” You trailed off, waiting for him to finish. You moved closer to his face, your breath panning over his cheek and Logan shuddered the closer you moved towards him. Logan didn’t know why he wanted to be closer to you. To feel you. You were so close. So close that he could feel your steady breathing, he could feel the heat as it radiated from your body, he could smell the perfume you wore every single day. The perfume that had haunted him for months. The perfume he chased in the halls, waiting to smell it. He wanted to smell that smell forever. He swallowed roughly, inching towards you.
“But…”
The back door slammed open, and your boss appeared calling your name.
“Your break’s over! Stop fucking the drunk-“ You stood quickly, awkwardly standing next to Logan who looked slightly embarrassed as he looked the opposite way from your boss.
“He cut his hand. I was just-“
“I don’t give a fuck. Come do your job.” Your boss slammed the door shut, and you sighed walking towards it. You started to open it, but paused to look back at Logan. You gave him a small smile, which he didn’t return.
“I’ll see you.” And you pulled the door shut behind you, entering the bar as Logan sat on that crate only thinking of his neighbor across the hall.
a/n: lmk if you guys enjoyed this and if i should write more (possibly smut). itll be a two parter, maybe three im not too sure! i love hearing feedback so please let me know! :) i love the soft side of logan and especially showing that soft side of him because of laura.

dating toge inumaki
rawr :3 sorry if this doesn't make any sense. if u know what horror game i mentioned shout out. its long bc im a d1 yapper
word count: 975
warnings: swearing, food, horror video games
I LOVE toge i am the number one toge inumaki lover srry not srry
First things first…he's a menace. Walks up behind you and pinches under your ribs, bops you on the head with random items (gently), bites like a cat (u know when ur petting them and then they just randomly bite? Like that)
While yes he does make your life HELL he's also a sweetheart
Flowers regularly, movie nights every week WITH snacks, super duper secret sleepovers (it used to be a secret then panda found out and insisted on joining), dates that last all day then inevitably end in a sleepover
Loves taking you to the arcade with those really hard claw machines so he can flex how good he is at them, even better if they're the ones with anime figures in them
“Oh my god look at it! It looks so dumb i love it” tapping on the glass at a plush seal with balls
“Salmon” he giggles tapping the card
While Toge loves to go on dates outside of your dorms and the school there are some days that neither one of you has the energy to go out. These nights mainly consist of the both of you cooking dinner together, watching those random 4 hour long videos about random subjects, and falling asleep in each others arms
Speaking of curse speech, he adds new words just for you!
His favorite way to greet you is saying honey
“Hi baby” you say, wrapping your arms around Toge, not caring about how sweaty you are from training.
“Mhm, honey” he whispers, burying his head into your shoulder and wrapping his arms around you, rocking sideways back and forth
To outsiders Toge seems so quiet and reserved but rest assured he has the biggest yappetite EVER like 40 messages in under a minute because whatever thought he has at the moment he NEEDS to tell you them
Some messages are sweet
“Hi bb i love u sm i cant wait to get my “grubby” paws on u ;) n e way i got u stuff”
“Hi brawling rn just wanted to say i luv u sm adn i cant wati for snuggles and love.”
But most are just random thoughts he has
“wass good bbg? <3 do u think panda can get fleas?”
“HELLO MY LOVER URGENT MESSAGE I JUST HAD TEH WORST FOOD EVER I AM ILL PLS BRING GINGER ALE AND TUMS IM DYINGGGGGGASDGJKNSKFNGBKAD”
“bbg check this out” *picture of a really ugly curse* “looks like u :3”
Loves playing videogames with you even if you don't like them he just sits you on his lap and plays anyway
Even if you don't like video games he still makes you play horror games with him, especially if everyone is with you.
“Oh my god i hate this. I don't wanna do this anymore”
“Just keep going forward, it's almost Toge’s turn anyway” Yuta says, slightly giggling at your anxious self.
“No no no nononono i don't wanna do it! Maki help!” you shout, begging your best friend to take over but failing.
“Just sprint, you're gonna be fine” Panda adds leaning over the couch.
“MY TUMMY HURTS I CANT…ok ok i'll sprint..” you say pressing the sprint button and running up the stairs. Just as your character gets into the next room, one of the bosses drops down from the ceiling.
“FUCK NO FUCK NO STOP PLEASE GO AWAY,” you continue to shout as your friends yell for you to run.
Your friends are sick of you…correction, Maki is sick of you two
Everytime she comes into contact with the two of you you're always cuddling, kissing or just generally being lovey dovey. Half the time you and Toge are cuddled up in what looks like the most uncomfortable places.
Desk chairs, chairs in the common room that are as hard as rocks, etc. If there is an uncomfortable place to sit rest assured knowing that the two of you will be snuggled up together
Speaking of pda, he's so sticky
Toge loves to just be around you whether it be holding your hand, wrapping his arms around you or just standing near you
“Parallel play” is a big thing for you guys since conversations are fairly short (sorry king) as long as you two are in the same room he's happy
Most days consist of one of you working on homework or any other work and the other one just being near
On the rare occasion that you and Toge aren't attached to the hip both of you are texting nonstop
y/n
“meow hi love of my life”
toge
“Good afternoon dear lover, I wish I could be with u rn but alas I am at war and the outcome is looking bleak. But trust me I will return home with goods. Love ur awesome bf”
y/n
“ur putting ur thesaurus and dictionary to work ga damn”
toge
“im gonna bite u”
y/n
“try it coward ill rock ur shit”
toge
“EAT MY BUTT”
One last thing…he’s 100% a food thief
Does not matter what you have, he is sneaking some of it whether you know it or not
Toge WILL eat your leftovers you've been looking forward to all day
No matter what you have, he always has a little of it. I mean YOU'RE eating it, it must be good
“Taste testing” is another thing he does, he says it's because he doesn't want you to be poisoned but in reality he thinks its funny how annoyed you get about it
Take out you two have had millions of times? Taste tested. Food your friends bought you two? You can't trust them! Taste tested. Food YOU cooked? Might've been poisoned, Taste. Tested.
All together he loves you so much…maybe i'll make a part 2

Kinktober 2023 Masterlist
Joel Miller Masterlist
“Why do you keep checkin’ the door?”
Joel’s question makes Tommy pull his eyes away from the entrance of the bar as his lips spread into a wide smile.
“No reason big brother.”
Joel’s eyes narrow as he grinds his teeth.
“What are you drinkin’?” Tommy asks him, ignoring Joel’s gruffness.
“Whiskey. On the rocks.”
Just as the bartender finishes pouring the amber liquid and Joel lifts the glass to his lips he catches movement by the doorway. It swings open and you walk in.
You don’t see him yet but he can’t take his eyes off you. He watches over the rim of his glass as you scan the crowd with slow steps.
“I didn’t know she was comin’,” Joel mumbles before downing the rest of the whiskey.
“That a problem?” Tommy asks with a smirk.
“No,” Joel states. “Course not. Why would it be?”
Tommy and Joel stare at each other, an unspoken challenge in their eyes, until you shout Tommy’s name and launch yourself into his arms.
“Hi Tommy!”
Tommy wraps an arm around your waist and kisses your cheek.
You slip from his grasp and turn to Joel.
“Hey Joel,” you say, more quietly.
You lean in to kiss his cheek, missing how his eyelashes flutter closed and his grip tightens on the drink he’s still holding, the glass dwarfed in his large hand.
“Hi darlin’,” he replies.
You start to catch up with Tommy and order a drink, the whole while feeling the weight of Joel’s eyes on you.
“Do you want another?” you turn to ask him, eyeing the empty glass still clutched in his hand.
Your gaze lingers on his hand longer than it should and Joel clears his throat.
“I’m good,” he answers, still watching you intently.
After Tommy finishes off his third drink he excuses himself to the bathroom and you find yourself at the bar alone with Joel.
“I’m going to have one more,” you state, more to yourself than him.
You lean over the bar and try to get the bartenders attention. As you’re doing so, a body knocks into you, throwing you off balance and into Joel.
With an ‘oof’ you practically land in his lap, your palms pressed to his chest and his hands planted firmly on your hips.
“Oh my god,” you breathe out as your body instinctively moves closer.
“Are you alright darlin’?” he murmurs, still holding onto you.
“What?” you say, blinking at him.
“You ok?” he asks again.
“Um…yeah. I’m sorry! I didn’t mean…that guy is drunk and…”
“It’s ok,” Joel says.
Your hands slide up his chest and onto his shoulders as you right yourself. He still doesn’t let go of you. The man behind you teeters again and bumps you, causing you to slip between Joel’s spread thighs.
“He’s really drunk,” you whisper, your face only inches from Joels.
“Seems that way,” Joel grumbles. “Sure you’re alright?”
“Fine,” you assure him, not wanting to move.
Joel’s eyes drag away from yours as he looks over your shoulder. The drunken man is still wobbling on his feet so Joel slides his arm around your waist and pulls you into his side, getting you out of the way.
When he removes one of his hands from your waist and rests it on his thigh your eyes are drawn to the gesture. Your skin heats as he spreads his thick fingers and rubs his jeans.
“If he doesn’t move I’m going to make him,” Joel growls.”
Your eyes lift and you meet his gaze. “Hmm?” you ask.
Joel studies your face. “Sure you’re ok princess?”
“Princess?” you repeat, glad to have his solid body keeping you upright.
The corner of Joel’s mouth lifts slightly and his eyes sparkle.
“Totally fine,” you whisper.
When the drunken guy doesn’t leave Joel stands, keeping you tucked safely into his side as he shifts his body protectively in front of you to block you from any more harm.
You feel Joel stiffen when the man knocks into him and just as he’s about to tell him off, the man’s friend rushes over and pulls him away from you both and the bar.
“I hope he has a ride home,” you mutter.
Joel just grunts, his body still pressed to yours as he cages you against the bar.
Tommy returns from the bathroom with a satisfied smug.
“What’s goin’ on here?” he asks, raising his brows as he looks between you two.
You and Joel stare blankly back before quickly separating.
“Nothin’. All good,” Joel mumbles, sitting back down on the barstool.
“Some guy was drunk and kept bumping into me. Pretty sure Joel was about to kick his ass but luckily his friend saved him.”
You giggle and look at Joel, grinning when he winks at you.
“You never got your drink?” Joel says as he waves down the bartender.
He orders for you and gets another whiskey for himself.
While you wait for the drinks Tommy fills you and Joel in on his latest dating escapades. You’re listening, trying to focus, but when Joel starts to mindlessly smooth his hand across the bar top it distracts you and you find yourself drowning in thoughts of what his hands would feel like on your bare skin.
“Babe?” Tommy says, snapping his fingers in front of your face.
“Yeah! Hi!” you squeak. “What did you say? I missed that.”
“I could tell,” Tommy teases before repeating his question.
You don’t dare look at Joel because you can feel his eyes on you.
You manage to stay involved in the rest of the conversation but then Tommy gets a phone call and walks outside the bar to take it.
You fiddle with your empty drink glass and avoid meeting Joel’s eyes.
“What’s goin’ on with you princess?” Joel asks.
He mimics your movements, twirling the whiskey glass between his long fingers. You watch the action instead of answering.
“Can you stop?” you ask, a bite in your words.
“Stop what?” he counters, leaning into your space.
You huff out a sigh of annoyance and cross your arms over your chest.
“Why do you keep staring at my hands?”
Your mouth falls open and then you close it abruptly.
“I am not!”
“Yes,” he murmurs as he takes the edge of your stool and pulls you and the seat between his spread legs, “you are. Wanna tell me why princess?”
“I’m not a princess.”
You press your lips together and raise your chin defiantly. His lips curl slowly upwards as he lifts his hand and ghosts it along your thigh, his touch so light it makes you shiver.
Your breath rushes out in a sigh and you drag your teeth over your bottom lip.
“You have hands!” you blurt out, feeling flustered.
He stops moving his fingers and presses them into your skin.
“You’re right about that darlin’,” he smirks. “I do have hands.”
“Joel!” you huff. “What I meant to say…”
You trail off and look for your drink but you finished it a while ago so instead you grab Joel’s whiskey glass and throw back the last sip.
“You have really nice hands and your fingers are so…so…”
After you say the words you dip your chin and settle your gaze on his fingers pressed into your skin. “They’re so big.”
When you lift your face to look at him his jaw is clenched, the muscles flexing as he holds your gaze. Your eyes drop to his mouth and then wander over his beard.
“See somethin’ else you like princess?” he simpers.
Your fingers reach out, hovering just centimeters away from his lips and your breath hitches when you feel his grip on your thigh tighten. The air between you crackles with electricity and it feels like your skin is on fire.
He murmurs something you don’t quite catch, tilting his head closer as his calloused fingertips slide over your silky skin.
The moment is broken when you hear your name being shouted over the noise of the crowd. Joel’s eyes snap up and he pulls back. Your turn to see your friend coming toward you. Her excited hello breaks you out of your haze but you barely have time to say anything to Joel before your friend whisks you away to the bathroom, going on about how great it is to see you and how she has something to tell you that absolutely can’t wait.
After giving her as much attention as you can muster without being rude you excuse yourself and sneak out of the bathroom, wanting nothing more than to get back to Joel.
Before you can turn the corner of the dimly lit hallway a strong hand wraps around your arm and you’re yanked into something hard.
You gasp but sag in relief when you lock eyes with Joel’s dark brown irises, feeling his chest brush yours with every breath he takes.
“Where’d you go?” he asks, tension radiating off his entire body.
“Missed me that much?” you counter, batting your lashes.
His eyes darken at your cheekiness and your eyes light up in victory. He carefully backs you up toward the wall, trapping you against it with his body.
“Think I’ll keep you all to myself for the rest of the night,” he whispers, his voice hot against your ear.
With an arch to your back you press closer, lowering your lashes as your fingers dance up his chest. When you hear your name, a whispered plea on his lips, you comb your fingers through his hair and tug on the soft strands.
His hand slips around the back of your neck and draws you closer, his mouth so close you can feel his warm breath.
You lift a challenging brow and he growls, squeezing your neck harder as his free hand smooths down your curves, teasing the hem of your dress.
He dips his head, inching closer and at the same time his fingers move higher, grazing between your legs. You tremble in his arms.
With a hiss he runs a finger over your soaked panties. His touch is teasingly light and you spread your legs, opening them in a silent invite.
“Good girl,” he praises, pushing your panties aside and sliding his finger through your wetness, gathering it before he circles your clit.
“Tell me princess. What do you want?”
“You…your fingers,” you whimper as you circle your hips. “Fuck me with your fingers.”
His groan is guttural and in sync with your wanton moan as he slips a long finger inside you, pushing deeper when you beg for more.
It isn’t until you’re chanting his name and quietly pleading that he adds a second finger, fucking you in earnest.
Your eyes flutter closed but he slides his hand from the back of your neck and settles it at the base of your throat, putting light pressure before his thumb presses under your chin and he pulls your focus to him.
“No, keep your eyes on me. I want to see you come for me.”
You’re instantly on the edge, teetering so close that the slightest stimulation will make you shatter. With a swipe of his thumb across your clit he pushes a third finger inside you, the stretch bordering on pleasurable pain and you come hard, crying out his name.
He draws out your bliss, fingers still buried deep inside you as he growls in your ear, “you’re going to remember just how much you love my hands with every step you take tomorrow.”

Los Angeles, 1991
The bass from the speakers, loud and booming, shaking the club with every riff of the guitar. Whatever band on stage was shredding, desperate fans and wannabe's jumping and shrilling the lyrics to some angry, grunge song you couldn't even understand.
"You want a drink?" Farrah asked over the loud music, leaning in close with a wide, burgundy lipped smile, a little smudged around the corner from the boy she was dancing with earlier.
You nodded, letting her pull you through the crowds, back to the bar in VIP. You weren't even sure why you left your secluded section. You could hear the band just fine from the confined leather couches and private bar upstairs.
"What'll it be?" The bartender asked, lanky, with shaggy locks that he kept tossing or blowing up out of his eyes. He attempted to give you a flirty smile, which you half heartedly returned.
"I want a double shot of vodka, extra limes." You said, slapping the crisp, one hundred-dollar bill on the mahogany wood.
"I'll have another cosmo, please." Farrah giggled to the bartender, batting her eyes sweetly to him.
"Coming right up, ladies." The bartender grinned, pocketing the bill with a sultry wink your way.
"Oh my God," Farrah gasped, grabbing your arm before you could scoff. "Holy shit, ok, don't look, but look, but don't make it obvious, ok-"
"-what?" You huffed, craning your head over your shoulder.
"No! I said don't make it obvious." Farrah squealed, manicured hand pushing your face back towards her. "Do you know who just walked in?"
You frowned. "No, I couldn't see them."
"That's Corroded Coffin." Farrah whispered, eyes lighting up with excitement. "Oh my God, you know them. You know, they're that rock group? They're kinda nasty, but so fuckin' hot. They have that one song that's about the stripper and-and the cocaine?"
"Wow, that really narrows it down." You scoffed sarcastically, turning to look over your shoulder again.
They certainly looked the rock band part, that was for sure. Five guys, some with Mohawks, shags, all in some sort of black leather, heavily tatted and pierced. Two were even wearing sunglasses, inside the dark club.
You rolled your eyes hard. "Jesus, they look like they're playing fucking dress up." You muttered, nodding to the bartender when he slipped you your drink. "Whoever their stylist is should be fired for that. The most stereotypical garb I've ever seen."
Farrah smirked, thanking the bartender, sitting her pink drink giggly. "I think they look hot." She wiggled her brows at you playfully. "You don't wanna fuck a rockstar?"
You laughed. "I have fucked a rockstar." You gave her a pointed look. "A few, actually, or did you forget?" Farrah giggled. "And so have you Miss Von Abel."
"Yeah, but not a real, rock, rockstar, Miss Klein." Farrah smirked over the lip of her glass. Her eyes bulged, sputtering on her drink. "Holy shit, they're coming over here."
You grimaced. "Ew, no they're not."
"Yes, they are, holy shit, be nice." Farrah muttered, looking down at her glass, sultry and unsuspecting, posed.
You snorted into your drink, downing the rest of it before lifting your glass, motioning to the bartender that you wanted another.
"And I'll have what she's having," A voice from behind you purred. You didn't move. "Except make it a tequila. Patron or Casa, I'm not picky."
The chair beside you screeched against the floor, so loud you could hear it over the music. Leather and wild, dark curls clouded the vision in the corner of your eyes, a wolfish grin baring perfect, shiny white teeth.
"Hi, there." The man greeted, a low purr.
You looked over at him, eyeing him up fully. The ripped jeans, band tee, spiked jewelry, and worst of all- leather jacket. You scoffed, he really was a walking cliche.
"Hi," You snipped, bored and unimpressed. You turned to Farrah, watching as she giggled and leaned closer to the other boy, his spiked hair and ringed fingers drumming on the edge of her glass.
"I'm Eddie." The boy next to you said, tongue rolling on the inside of his mouth.
You nodded, sighing slowly. "I didn't ask." You replied coldly, stirring your empty drink with the slim black straw.
Eddie paused, blinking for a moment. He hadn't been ignored and rejected like this since high school, since before he left Hawkins. Treated and casted out like he was nothing, like he was nobody.
His fingers tapped on the bar, angry and furiously, buzzing from the embarrassment and the effects of the cocaine. He looked back over at you, squinting in the low light.
"I know you." Eddie said, pointing a finger at you.
"No, you don't." You huffed, rolling your eyes.
"No, I do." Eddie shook his head, feet tapping on the floor. "How do I know you? Fuck, you're not friends with Aria are you?"
"No." You snapped, irritated.
Eddie twisted his lips in thought, running a hand down his face. "Fuck, I know I know you." He huffed, leaning past you. "Gare, why do I know this chick?" He asked, hitching his thumb towards you.
You scoffed, nose snarling in disgust. Farrah grimaced, looking at you with a pleading look. Gareth looked at you, tilting his head to the side. "You're Victor Klein's daughter, right?"
"Yeah, that's her." Farrah grinned, wide eyed and giggly. "How did you know that?"
Eddie's ringed hand slapped down on the bar loudly, making you jump. He snapped his finger, and pointed at you. "That's fucking right. Your dad's that movie guy. Makes all those movies, holy shit." Eddie laughed, looking up at you with a dimpled grin. It made you flush slightly, but your face remained neutral, soured. "And your mom was that model for Playboy back in the day? That super hot one."
Eddie's eyes rolled over you, taking in your black, slip dress, short and low in all the right places, straight off the Versace runway. He licked his lips, eyes gleaming when he looked at you. "I can tell you two are related." He grinned, hand slipping on your thigh.
"Ugh," You groaned, shoving his hand off. You grabbed your drink just as the bartender sat it down, standing up from your high top seat. "Farrah, I'll be outside. I need a smoke."
Eddie tried not to falter, not letting his face fall at the rejection, at how you brushed him off and discarded him like he was nothing. He wasn't used to this, to women ignoring him rather than throwing themselves at him. He was Eddie fucking Munson, rockstar with a notable ten inch cock that anyone would be lucky to fuck.
"Shit, I could go for a smoke too, baby. Let me-"
"Look, I don't know if you're too coked out or just really fucking stupid, but I'm not interested in being seen with a C-list rockstar poser." You snapped, teeth bared and angry at him.
"C-List?" Eddie gawked, scoffing in offense. "Excuse me, sweetheart, do you know who the fuck I am?" Eddie growled, ringed hand shoved in his chest.
"No," You snarled smugly, eyes narrowed dangerously towards him. "But you certainly know who I am."
Eddie scoffed when you walked away, heels snapping and clacking across the floor all the way to the balcony outside. He grit his teeth, inked hand fisting the glass, throwing back the tequila in one gulp, grimacing gently at the burn in his throat and nose.
He turned to Farrah, lips pursed furiously. "Your friend always such a fucking bitch?" He growled.
Gareth threw his hands out, head nodding suggestively towards Farrah. She didn't seem to be phased, you'd certainly been called worse. "She's really nice, actually. One of the sweetest people you'll ever meet." She paused, lips twisting in thought. "If she likes you." Her eyes flashed to Eddie with a slight grimace. "She doesn't like you."
Eddie scoffed, shoving his chair back. "Yeah, well, fuck her too." He growled, stomping off to the bathroom, fishing in his pockets for the small baggie of coke.
***
You took a long drag of your cigarette, balancing your drink in the other hand, pressed up against the railing of the night club, chatting with Arnie Brandenburg, a long time friend. The two of you had grown up in Beverly Hills together, down the street. Your moms went to the same Jane Fonda fitness classes, always leaving you two in the country club nursery.
"I mean, Greenwich is nice for Connecticut, but it's just not the Hamptons, ya know?" Arnie grinned.
You laughed, nodding in agreement. "Honestly, you sound like my mother." You rolled your eyes. "Daddy talked about selling the Hamptons house once since it's on the East Coast, and she about died. Wouldn't talk to him for a week." You snickered, shaking your head.
"I would too!" Arnie threw his hands out dramatically. "I mean, if you're not going to the Hamptons in the summertime, then what are you doing? Imagine celebrating the Fourth of July anywhere else, it would be a crime-"
"Jesus fuckin' Christ." A voice over your shoulder groaned.
You turned, angrily and fierce, ready to lash at whoever dared to interrupt you. You were less than surprised to see it was Eddie. He shook his head, forearms leaning over the rail, smoking his own cigarette slowly.
"Excuse me?" You snapped, eyes narrowed in challenge.
Eddie looked up at you, unimpressed and unfazed. "The two of you sound so fuckin' shallow, holy shit." Eddie scoffed, shaking his head.
You gawked as Arnie blushed furiously, looking down at his drink in embarrassment. "We were having a private conversation-"
"-yeah? That why you're talkin' so loud?" Eddie shot back, teeth grit in challenge. "Private conversation, so you talk loud enough for everyone to hear you, right? Make sure they all know that you two are loaded, so much better than anyone else, right?"
You huffed, turning on your heel, jaw tight. You were flushing furiously, heat spreading from the fire in the pit of your belly up your chest and neck. "Don't pay attention to him, Arnie. He's pissed I wouldn't suck his dick at the bar." You snipped, loud enough for Eddie to hear.
Arnie hesitated, eyes flickering from you back to Eddie. Eddie laughed loudly, humorlessly. "Holy shit," He shook his head. "You know, it makes sense why you're such a bitch, honestly. Probably never been told no a day in your fucking life."
You whipped around, drink sloshing and spilling down your wrist from the sudden movement. "What the fuck did you just call me?"
Eddie pulled a mocking, pouting face your way. "Oh, you didn't like that, huh?" He taunted. "Sorry, Princess, didn't mean to upset you. I forgot, girls like you can't handle being told the truth."
"The truth?" You scoffed. "I can handle the truth, what I can't handle is losers like you trying to hit on me like you ever had a chance."
"Oh? Because I'm not from the Hills?" Eddie retaliated, defensively, insecurity seeping through his barred teeth.
"No, because you're such a fake." You laughed mockingly back at him, eyes rolling down his frame. It was a juvenile, mean tactic, but you didn't care. It worked, judging by the way he squirmed and moved to straighten his posture. "You dress like this pathetic cliche, hit on girls all the time, treat them like shit and do shit to keep you in the tabloids, and guess what? In a few years, you'll be irrelevant anyways. You'll peak, and you'll go back to Ohio or wherever the fuck you're from, and I'll still be here, watching the next you try to hit on me."
Eddie's face dropped, stunned and a little hurt. Arnie pulled your arm, saying your name softly to get you to step away, but you refused. Too angry and determined to get him away for good.
"Who the fuck do you think you are exactly?" Eddie snapped back. "I mean, you're only relevant because of who your daddy is." He scoffed, snarling back at you. "Seriously, Princess, you swear you're someone special, but you wouldn't be anything without that last name. I might be whatever you want to call me, but I'm me. I made my own fucking name, didn't get anything handed to me. I did it myself. Can you say the same?"
You blushed furiously, stammering under his intense glare. Eddie took a step closer, crowding you. "What happens when daddy goes away, huh? When you don't have anything to cling to because you're nothing on your own? What then? What happens to this high and mighty attitude when your one claim to fame is gone, and everyone forgets you."
"That-That won't-"
"-Won't happen?" Eddie laughed menacingly at you. "Sweetheart, you're in for a big surprise then. You don't do shit. You've never worked for a goddam thing in your life. Daddy made sure of that, didn't he?"
You blushed furiously, lips pressing together in anger. "You don't know anything about me."
"No?" Eddie's brows lifted in amusement. "But you certainly know a lot about me." He hissed, throwing your words from earlier right back in your face, making you shrink. "You must know more than you pretend to know about me. Or do you just say shit like that to anyone? Just mean for fun, huh? I'm a walking cliche? Baby, you couldn't get more predictable if you tried." Eddie sneered, leaning down so his face was inches away from yours.
The heat from the two of you was radiating, burning each other further and further with every sneer and venom filled word. Arnie pulled you away with a slight tug of your arm, ushering you away from your hate filled stare and back towards the club.
***
"Who the fuck does that guy think he is, huh?" You slurred, slamming your glass back onto the mahogany top of the bar. Your vision was swirling slightly, the alcohol in your system flooding over your senses easily.
You looked at Arnie, then back over at Farrah, who was sitting perched in Gareth's lap. "Hon, don't worry about it. He's a dick, don't you know that?" Arnie scoffed. "Honestly, did you see what he did to that poor girl? All of them really. He humiliates them for fun."
You had seen what he did to those girls. Fucking them on balconies, tatting their ass, paddling them with a wood paddle that left the band's logo on their red, inflamed cheeks, then letting them walk out so the paparazzi went wild. You had to admit, it was pretty good press. His stylist might have been shit, but his PR person you needed to meet.
The first time you'd seen them on the cover of a gossip column magazine, you couldn't help but stare. The sheer taboo nature of it all, filthy and wrong. It made your thighs twitch. You'd tried to convince your 'boyfriend' of the time to try something like that with you, but he'd called you weird, mocked you for wanting to try it. You'd blamed it on the coke, and never talked of it again.
Maybe he did intimidate you. Maybe he even intrigued you a little, but you refused to allow it, hatred and loathing consuming any feelings of curiosity towards the asshole that was Eddie Munson.
Eddie had a girl in his lap, in the booth on the other side of the bar. You could see it perfectly from your own seat, his lips on her neck, sucking in deep, dark bruises. His hand up her skirt, teasing her so she writhed and bucked all over his lap, sloppy and desperate. His eyes met yours, and you scoffed, slamming back another shot.
Farrah called your name, giggly and stumbling towards you, wrapping her arms around you. "I need a favor," She whispered into your ear.
"What?" You snapped, harder than you meant it to. It'd been a long night.
Farrah pressed her nose to yours, eyes crossing to focus on yours. You could smell the vodka on her breath, sharp and stinging. "I'm gonna go back to Gareth's place for a while. He said he'd give me a tour." She giggled, swaying slightly.
"Ok?" You asked, lifting a brow, her hands planted firmly on your cheeks.
"Come with me, please." Farrah whispered. "Just for a little while, then-then we can go back home, I promise."
You groaned, pulling apart. "I don't want to go to his place-"
"-please! It's just for a teeny, tiny, little bit." Farrah pressed her fingers together for show. "Just so he can... show me around."
You gave her an unimpressed look. "So you two can fuck?" You asked.
Farrah giggled wildly, tossing her head back. "Maybe..." She let out a nasally laugh, swaying back and forth. "Please? For me?"
You hesitated, looking at her then cutting behind her to see Eddie, still working the girl in his lap. "Fine. Let me get one more drink and close out." You grumbled.
Farrah hugged you tightly, strawberry glossed lips pressing a sticky, wet kiss to your cheek before scampering back to Gareth. You waved the bartender down for another, downing the vodka easily before handing him a wad of cash to cover your tab and a tip.
You hugged Arnie goodbye, waving to your other friends before following Farrah down the steps, towards the private exit of the VIP. She giggled and swung on Gareth's arm, flirty and sweet. You watched her carefully, arms crossing over your chest when you got outside, following him towards the large, black car waiting with the rest.
"After you, M'lady." Gareth bowed sillily, making Farrah cackled, a stumble curtsy given back in return. You nodded gently when you climbed past him, moving to the farthest seat on the rounded lounge area.
The door opened again, Eddie and another member of the band filing in. You scoffed. "Oh, fuck me," You groaned, rolling your head back.
"What?" Farrah asked, eyes blinking innocently towards you. "What's wrong?"
"Who the fuck invited her?" Eddie snapped, throwing an arm out towards you.
"I did, Ed." Gareth hissed, eyes cutting to Farrah next to him. "Shut the fuck up."
You smirked triumphantly when Eddie sank in the seat across from you, huffing and rolling his eyes. The car ride back to their place was painfully awkward. Gareth and Farrah were wrapped up in their own little world, giggling and whispering sweetly to each other.
Jeff, the other member in the car, had tried to speak to you. You tried not to let your irritation get the best of you, but alcohol mixed with the sour taste you had for Eddie weren't doing you any favors.
"Give it up, Jeff, I told you she was just gonna be an asshole." Eddie grumbled when you'd gave Jeff another short, choppy answer.
You huffed, rolling your eyes. "I'm the asshole, huh?" You scoffed.
Jeff hesitated looking between the two of you. "It's cool, really." He said sweetly, giving you a small smile.
You felt your stomach twist in guilt, bile rising in your throat as your heart hammered. He really was a sweet guy, just trying to be nice. "So," You started awkwardly, looking over at him. "Where are you from?"
"Somewhere you've never heard of." Jeff smiled, shaking his head. "Hawkins, Indiana."
You smiled back. "You're right. Never heard of it."
Jeff laughed. "That's alright. No one has." He shrugged. "All three of us are from there actually. Met in high school."
You bit back the sharp comment on your tongue directed towards Eddie, swallowing it down bitterly. You didn't want to prove his point anymore than you already did tonight.
"Wow," You nodded, giving a forced, dazzling smile that only a Hollywood native could give. "Must be really different being here now. Big change?"
Jeff nodded. "Yeah, it was an adjustment. Traffic was the worst." He grinned when he hit Gareth's shoulder. "Gare, remember when we first came out here and Eddie got stuck on the 305?"
Both boys growled in laughter while Eddie rolled his eyes. "Christ, we almost missed our first record meeting. Almost got cut before we ever started."
Your eyes flashed to Eddie's, a sneer like grin on your lips. "Shocking." You bit sarcastically, raising your brows.
Eddie rolled his eyes, scoffing at you. "Yeah, well, I figured it out, didn't I?" Eddie gave a tight lipped smile to the boys. "You gotta figure stuff out on your own sometimes, ya know? Shit just can't be done for you or you never learn."
You scoffed loudly, throwing your hand up. "I mean, and I'm the asshole? You had the audacity to call me the asshole?"
"Alright, let's just- let's calm down." Farrah glared at you, lifting her hands between you and Eddie.
"Yeah, Ed, take it easy." Gareth grit, eyes narrowing towards him.
You both rolled your eyes, arms crossing and huffing before looking out the window.
The gates to the Hidden Hills mansion the boys had opened, large and elaborate. The car pulled to the front, Jeff tipping the driver and wishing him a good night as you all piled out.
Gareth droned on and on about the house, the special features it had to Farrah, who giggled and awed- like she didn't grow up in a house triple the size of this. You bit back that comment and followed, heels clacking against the floor, bored.
Eddie had disappeared a while ago, something about needing a joint. Gareth offered to show Farrah his room, and they were gone. Leaving you standing there, waiting.
"Uh, there's a movie room up the stairs if you wanna go in there." Jeff offered with a small smile. "You can wait there if you want. Or-Or you can stay here."
You shook your head. "I'll go wait upstairs. I think they'll be a while." You rolled your eyes.
Jeff laughed. "It's to the right, down the hall, first room on the left." He pointed up the staircase.
You climbed the spiraling stairs, taking in the odd decor of the house. There was a lot of paintings of dragons, very epic and mystical, not quite the decor you thought the metal band would have. You turned down the dark hallway, tiptoeing quietly past the rooms in case someone was sleeping.
You could hear the muffled sound of something playing in the movie room, muted against the heavy doors of the room, but you didn't hear any other signs of life as you pushed them open. The screen was large, illuminating the room and the rows of leather, recliner chairs in it. You closed the door quietly behind you, tip toeing towards the screen.
Your brows furrowed deep in confusion, swaying on your feet as you watched the film that was playing. A rather burly, muscular man grabbed the girl by her hair, pulling her close to him roughly. "I think bad girls like you need to be taught a lesson..." He growled. She moaned loud, pornographic and exaggerated.
Your eyes widened, eyes glued on the screen as he tossed her over his raised knee, hand slamming down on her up turned ass while sh yelped dramatically, mewling and whining. You bit your lip, squirming slightly, thighs pressing together at the scene.
"You enjoying yourself?" You jumped, heart thumping into your ears, screeching at the unexpected voice.
Wild curls, dark eyes, and a menacing smirk met your gaze when you turned. Eddie, sitting in the back row in the dark.
"What the fuck?" You grabbed at your heart. "What-What are you doing in here-"
"-It's my house." Eddie scoffed, arms extending wide on the back of the seats beside him.
You rolled your eyes. "Jeff told me I could wait in here. I-I didn't think you'd be in here."
"This is my favorite room." Eddie said slowly, jaw still set. "Where I come to relax."
"Well, I'll leave you to it." You scoffed, nodding towards the screen, turning towards the door.
"No, why don't you stay." You could hear his smirk through his tone. "Seemed like you were really enjoying it."
You blushed furiously, caught and embarrassed. You didn't face him. eyes cutting towards the screen, watching the man finger the girl as she was still over his knee, squirming and crying.
"Don't be gross." You bit, hoping you sounded more convincing. "Who watches this kind of stuff?"
"Me," Eddie snorted. "Seems like you do too."
"I do not." You snapped, whipping around to face him, his smug grin. God, you wanted to slap it off his face.
"What are you doing anyways? Researching new ways to hurt your groupies? Get the press talking some more?" You sneered.
Eddie's brow raised, amused. Your heart stuttered. "Oh? I thought you didn't know who I was, hm? To beneath you."
"Well, of course I know about that." You scoffed, rolling your eyes so you didn't have to meet his intense glare. You crossed your arms over your chest, securing yourself. You felt too vulnerable, too seen.
"Yeah?" Eddie asked, shifting so he was leaning towards you. "You know a lot about that, don't you, honey?" You stammered, blushing furiously at him. "How many times you wish that was you?" Eddie asked plainly.
Your throat constricted, tongue feeling stupid and big in your mouth. "W-With you?" You lifted a brow, hoping your menacing stare would distract him from the way your legs shook. "Never."
"Oh, I don't believe that." Eddie purred, standing slowly. A tiger to his prey, slow and calculated. "But fine, not with me. How many times have you thought about that?" He nodded towards the scene behind you, the man fucking the girl hard, hips snapping against her abused ass. You swallowed hard, eyes trained and glazed on the video.
You gasped, body lurching a little when you felt him behind you, looming presence casting over you, but never touching you. "How many times have you thought about someone putting you in your place like that?" Eddie growled, and you fought back a shiver, shoulder's tensing. "Is that why you're so mean all the time? Why you act out and want a reaction, hm? You're just begging for someone to put you in your place, aren't you? Screaming for attention."
His fingers trailed lightly over your hip down towards the hem of your dress. You shuddered, exhaling shakily as you watched his inked fingers toy with the edge of the black material. Your mind screamed to stop him, to shove him off and tell him to go fuck himself. But the throbbing between your legs superseded any protest you had, letting him ghost over you.
"That's why you wear these little dresses. You go out, and start fights with these guys hoping they'll actually fight back with you, don't you?" Eddie growled, fingers trailing over your bare thigh, inching dangerously close to your center.
You bit your lip, refusing to look at him, to answer. "You want attention?" Eddie asked, his breath hot on your ear. "I'll give you that attention you want so badly. All you gotta do is ask."
You whined, his fingers feather light, teasing over your slit. You knew he had to feel how wet you were, the growing wet patch on the front of your lace panties. You squirmed into his touch.
"Go on," Eddie grunted, fingers trailing up and down your clothed slit, you throbbed, ached for the touch. "Ask me to put you in your place."
You sighed, shaky and breathy. Your eyes were trained on the screen, refusing to meet his, watching the way the man pounded the girl from a new position. "You talk a big game for someone who will probably only last a few minutes." You shuddered, mean and bratty, a furious gleam back in your eye.
Eddie scoffed. He pulled his hand away entirely, leaving your gasping at the loss. "Guess you'll never find out." He whispered, lips tickling the shell of your ear.
You watched him walk towards the door, heart pounding in your chest when he reached for the door knob. "Wait!" You cried, biting down on your lip hard.
Eddie turned slightly, brow raised. You hesitated, squirming and eyes flicking from the screen back to him. "I-I want it." You admitted, cheeks burning red. Eddie could see it in the glow from the screen.
He lifted a brow, hand falling from the knob to cross over his chest. He stared hard at you, down the slop of his nose. "Want what?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. The bastard. "You gotta use your words. C'mon, baby, you had no problem using them earlier." He snapped.
You fidgeted, swaying on your feet. You couldn't look at him, too humiliated. "I-I want you to put me in my place." You whispered, speaking down the the dark, shag carpet of the room.
"Louder." Eddie commanded, snapping his fingers at you. "And look at me when you speak to me."
A cold shiver ran down your spine. Excitement and anticipation twisting in your tummy. You lifted your gaze slowly, fingers still wringing and twisting when you met his dark, brown eyes. "I-I want you to... to put me in my place."
Eddie exhaled slowly out of his nose, heavy steps coming towards you until the two of you were toe to toe. He towered over you, looking down at you with a hard, stoic expression. "This is what you really want?" Eddie asked. "Want me to teach you how to behave? I'll warn you now, I'm not nice. Not gonna go easy on you."
You nodded slowly, rolling your bottom lip between your teeth. Eddie cocked his head to the side, signaling he wanted a verbal answer. "Y-Yes... It's what I want." You huffed, crossing your arms back over your chest.
Eddie smirked, a barely raised corner of his lip. "Fine." He grunted. "It'll be my pleasure, actually. I've never met someone who needed to be knocked down a few pegs more in my life." He grabbed your arm, pulling you towards the first recliner. He sat down with a heavy sigh, yanking you in between his spread thighs. "And if smacking you around a little will be you to be less of a little bitch," He sneered up at you, making you squirm. "Then, I guess I'll do the honors."
You rolled your eyes, with a small scoff before his large hand cracked down on your ass, making you gasp. Eddie gave you a hard glare. You squirmed, thighs rubbing together for some sort of friction. His hit stung, but it left you aching, slick coating your thighs.
"You want to stop, you say 'bats' and we stop." Eddie said, hands pulling at your dress.
"Bats? That's a fuckin' stupid-" Another resounding smack of his ringed hand to your ass had you yelping out, stopping and looking at him.
"Oh, this is gonna take a lot more than I thought." Eddie shook his curls, pulling the tie of the dress so it fell down your hips slowly, in a puddle by your feet. You stood in nothing but a bright red thong. "You're worse off than I thought. Might need multiple sessions to fix this bad attitude."
You snarled. "You'd like that wouldn't you?" You bit.
Eddie hummed, fingers hooking down your panties, pulling them down your thighs so they rested at your mid-thigh. He pressed his fingers into the soaked front of your cloth, smearing your sticky release down the crotch until it was coated on his finger. He brought it up to your face, eyes hard in challenge.
"Seems like you're not having a bad time either." Eddie snapped. You blushed hard, hands covering your neck so he couldn't see the flush. "Think you're enjoying this a little too much."
You snarled, but fought the urge to roll your eyes. Eddie pulled down the rest of your panties, letting you step out of them before they were puddled on the floor. He shifted forward, legs spreading before he nodded towards his lap.
You hesitated for a moment, arms reaching out slow and unsteady, awkward as you folded your body forward delicately. His rough, calloused hands pulled you forward, aching center rubbed against his knee, bottom high in the air. Your arms were forward, hanging over the recliner, back dipped between his legs.
"Hm," Eddie sighed heavily, ringed hand running over your cheeks, down your thigh and over your back. You shuddered, head spinning. For a moment, it almost felt gentle.
"I can tell that you and your mama are related." He grinned, squeezing the fat of your ass hard. "Good looking ass on both of ya."
You scoffed loudly. "You’re dis-" You gasped, the hard smack he delivered to the center of your ass sending you forward, breath leaving your lung. The unfamiliar sting burned through the hit, electrifying your senses. You clamped your lips together, rocking slightly against his knee for friction.
"You just never learn, do ya?" Eddie laughed, hand cracking down on your ass, one hit to each cheek that left you yelping out. "That's alright. Keep running that mouth. I can stay here all night."
His hand cracked down on your fleshy ass, hips jumping and body tensing with every hit. You could feel the burn, foreign and unfamiliar, building already. His rings added extra sting to his hits, cold metal digging into your hot skin. You tried to still your hips, keep yourself from grinding helplessly down onto his leg.
“I can tell no one’s ever done this to you before.” Eddie breathed, hand light, almost delicately trailing down your cheeks before he brought his hand down again, twice. Two quick smacks that had you squealing, lurching forward.
“I’ve never met a more spoiled little bitch.” Eddie growled, hand thundering onto your cheeks. You mewled loudly, lips pressed shut to try and stop yourself.
“No one’s ever put you in your place like this before have they?” Eddie hissed, squeezing your burning cheeks hard, enough to make you squirm. His hand cracked down, unforgiving and hard, right near your core. It had you screaming out, abdomen clenching at the sensation. “I asked you a fucking question.”
“No,” You whispered, jaw tight, slow steady breaths coming out of your nose, desperate to keep the tears down.
Eddie huffed, fingers snaking down to your core. You gasped when he slid them through your slick folds. “Hm,” he hummed, mocking. He head his fingers in front of you, ringed digits coated in your arousal, making you blush deep. “Suck.” Eddie barked.
You hesitated for a moment, stunned by his demand. Eddie’s free hand yanked your hair back, scalp screaming at the roughness of his grasp. “I said, suck.”
Your lips parted in a slow tremble, just wide enough to let him slip his fingers in. You hollowed your cheeks barely, letting your tongue slides slowly over his fingers, tasting your own tangy arousal. Eddie’s fingers probed further, pressing back to the back of your throat, scissoring so you’d gag at the intrusion.
You breathed deep, controlled through your nose. Only gagging for a moment, before you let his assault continue. Your eyes were on him, round and hopeful for praise. He lifted a brow. “I’m impressed,” he muttered, dark, dimpled grin on his face. “Though I guess I shouldn’t be. A little whore like you should know how to take a cock.”
Your cheeks blushed furiously, anger flaring back in your chest. You bit down on his fingers, hard enough to grind the bone and have him hissing, yanking his fingers back out. He glared at you before a ringed backhand cracked across your cheek, stinging and shocking you.
You gaped at him, wide eyed in shock. Eddie growled back. “You just can’t play nice, can you?” He shook his head, sighing loud and dramatic, mocking.
He shoved you back over his lap, your hands falling in front of you to stop you from face planting onto the ground. Eddie's hand's started back up, cracking down on your already flaming ass, quick and hard. No longer teasing and fun, but rather punishing and mean. Your head still reeled, throbbing between your legs.
You clenched hard, jaw tightening and fists balling. The pain on your ass was building hard, uncomfortable burn and heat radiating off your reddened skin. You could feel Eddie's erection against your hip, you hoped if you squirmed enough he would stop, but you had a feeling there was only one way he'd stop.
Eddie's rings were biting into your ass, making you jump with every hit. His ability to not let up, to keep the same rhythm was impressive if you were being honest. "For a brat you sure can take a beating." Eddie hissed. You thought he might stop, he didn't.
You whimpered, squirming your hips forward to get away from his assaulting hand. He just simply pulled you back, roughly into place, continuing again. "Eddie," You whined, hips wiggling. "Eddie, ok, stop. I learned my lesson, you can stop." You huffed.
Eddie laughed, humorlessly. "I don't think you have." He snapped, hand cracking down hard, leaving you jumping.
“I have!” You whined, a high pitched mewl that left his cock lurching, twitching at how desperate you sounded.
“Prove it.” Eddie growled, ringed hand grabbing your hair, yanking you up harshly again, back arching and dipping with the lift. You grunted at the burn in your scalp. “You said you learned your lesson, prove it.”
“How?” You huffed, teary eyed and desperate. Your cocky attitude be damned at this moment, you were determined to do anything to get him to stop and fuck you.
Eddie smirked. "You need me to tell you how to say sorry? You don't know how to apologize? God, you are such a fucking spoiled, shallow little brat aren't you." You howled in pain when his hand cracked back down, choking out a sob.
"Fuck, ok, ok! I'm sorry, ok?" You squealed, squirming against his leg again.
Eddie snorted, mocking and unimpressed. "You call that an apology?" He sighed heavily, pushing you back forward, hand groping and squeezing your aching cheeks. "We're gonna be here all night, aren't we?"
You cried, shaking your head. "No, no, please, I-I'll be good, ok?" You sniffled. "I'm sorry." You muttered, pathetic and small.
Eddie wrenched your hair back again, making you cry out in pain. You thought he might take mercy on you. Clearly you were wrong. "What was that?" He growled. "Speak up. Loud and clear."
You sniffled hard, pinching your eyes together. "I-I'm sorry, Eddie." You let out a hard shaky breath, voice wavering with the admission. "I'm sorry for being m-mean to you."
Eddie didn't budge, holding you in that position for a moment, teetering you on the edge of anticipation, getting you squirming and whining until he finally let go. You fell forward with a small huff, his hand rubbing over your ass.
"Look, you can learn, hm?" Eddie mocked. You bristled, gritting your teeth to hold back your snappy, mean comment. "You just need to be trained, don't you? Need someone to be mean and teach you?"
You nodded, a curt bob of your head, lips pressing together to keep your sob in. Eddie pinched your hot skin, hard enough to leave you yelping. He snickered, fingers trailing up your slick thighs, his fingers sunk into your sopping hole, pumping agonizingly slow. Your clit was swollen, aching, clenching against his fingers.
"Surprise, surprise, you liked this, didn't you?" Eddie mocked.
Your face heated, eyes pinching close, squirming against his lap. Eddie's hand cracked down on your ass. "Didn't you?" He gritted.
"Yes." You sobbed, falling limp over his lap.
Eddie smirked, satisfied. He felt like he finally had you broken and desperate, pathetic the way he wanted you. His fingers curled inside you, making you gasp. Your thighs trembled, your orgasm had been building from the moment you'd walked in the movie room, inching closer and closer to the brink of ecstasy with every hard, unforgiving spank he administered to your ass. His words cruel and venomous, they should have you sobbing, running away and cursing his name, yet you couldn't wait to hear more, throbbing with every hate filled word.
You clenched, small huff escaping the back of your throat, your walls tightening around his fingers, expected and working you open magnificently. You rubbed your clit, aching with desperation against his legs, so close to your own release your eyes were rolling back, pathetic little cried and whines filling the room. It made Eddie's head spin, grinning mean and dark down at you, relishing in the way you wiggled and bucked on his lap.
You were so close, he knew that, which is exactly why he stopped. He pulled his fingers out of you with a loud squelch of your walls trying to vacuum him back in. Your eyes snapped up, panting and desperate with the loss of his fingers.
"What-"
Eddie pushed you off his lap, letting your knees hit the ground hard, uncaring when you shot him a displeased pout. He ignored you, shoving his jeans to the ground, boxers following with one quick swoop.
You tried not to gawk, his cock erect and angry, hanging in front of you nearly menacingly, inches from your nose. His inked body, covered in tattoos, tummy toned with the peeking of soft abs that we’re accentuated when he’d clench them, making the inked skin there move and ripple. You'd assumed everyone had exaggerated how big his cock was, the groupies that sold stories and tabloids just playing that detail up as an excuse for letting him do the things he did to them, dick drunk. You see now, that wasn't the case at all, feeling a little hypocritical for your own harsh judgements at the time.
"Get up, bend over." Eddie growled, nodding towards the chair he'd been sitting in. He stroked himself lazy and slow, cock dribbling out at the head. "You wanna cum? There's only one way you're gonna cum. Go."
You scrambled up, practically diving into the dark leather of the chair, nails scratching the thick material. Your head was reeling, pussy throbbing, aching with the way he'd edged you, toyed with you and got you so close.
Eddie snorted, shaking his head in a mocking manner. "So desperate, what a shock." He growled, lining himself up with you. He didn't bother being nice, your only warning of what's to come was the fat head of his cock pushing in your entrance, pausing when Eddie moved closer to you. "Thought you were too good for me? Look at you now."
You cried out loudly when he pushed in, filling you quickly, not giving you even a second to adjust before he pulled back out and slammed in you all over again. Your walls stretched and burn with the uncomfortable intrusion, clenching down hard on him so he cursed, sucking in a breath.
"You think you're too good for me? I think I'm too good for you." Eddie hissed, hips slamming hard against your ass, drooling at the way your red, irritated skin jumped against his. "Spoiled little bitch, you think you can just get away with treating people like shit? Being a cunt to everyone all the time because you grew up in the hills?" You panted, face buried in the leather, trying to conceal your shaky moans.
Eddie's hand in your hair wrenched you up, pulling you so you were standing on wobbly legs, his hand moving to your throat then back down to hold you across your hips. "I asked you a fucking question." He growled, nose exhaling hot air against your cheek.
You opened your mouth, dumbly letting your tongue roll out. The pressure on your neck wasn't enough to cut off oxygen, just enough to feel the pressure, but it still had you clenching hard, eyes rolling back at the sensation. "Yes." You breathed out.
"Yes?" Eddie repeated, a sharp thrust that had you crying out. "You think you can treat people like shit?"
"No!" You whined, thighs trembling, tears leaking out of your eyes and down your cheeks. "No, no, no I don't! I'm sorry!"
Eddie scoffed, letting his hand fall from your neck, your stranded moans and sobs leaving in sharp breaths out of your chest. He pounded hard into you, jabbing your g-spot relentlessly. A sloshing sound was starting to build, soft and mixing with the sound of his balls slapping against you.
Eddie pushed you back down, face first into the leather, his free hand finding your clit, the other gripping your hips hard- you knew you'd have bruises. "Spoiled little bitch," He grunted, lightly rubbing over your clit. His touch was ghosting, so light you wondered if you were hallucinating it. "Maybe I should call you a dumb little bitch instead, hm? Just dumb on my cock."
You screamed, back arching and eyes rolling when he pinched your clit, hard and round, rolling it between his pointer and thumb finger. Your legs shook, waves of pleasure washing over you until you collapsed beneath him, legs giving out. His hand on your hip and under your tummy held you up.
Eddie snickered, your wet released, sprayed out all over his pelvis, over his cock and the leather seats. He knew no now had ever done that to you, judging by the way you laid simple, head still reeling and shaking beneath him. Here you were thinking you were so much better, and yet, he was the only one who could fuck you properly.
Eddie didn't let up, didn't soften his pace, pounding into you harder and harder and harder. Your hips recoiled, fat jumping with every snap of his own hips, punishing you. He could feel you clamp around him again, tiny moans that were tired and breathy. His cock lurched, twitching deep inside of you, teeth gritting.
Eddie raised his hand, smacking your ass again, watching the way you jumped and whined, hand print fading in with the others, illuminated on your already abused skin. He tucked his lip between his teeth, eyes pinching hard shut, you'd already came again, shaking and whining around him with another pitiful little orgasm that left you dizzy all over again. Eddie grunted, jackhammering you hard before he felt his cock twitch hard, spilling deep inside you.
He thrusted slow, hard huffs of air mixed with small groans, his cock emptying deep inside of you, the sloshing sound of each thrust filling the room. "Oh, fuck," Eddie breathed out, chest heaving hard.
He looked down, creamy spend covering the base of his pubic hair, wetting it and leaving it glistening. He pulled out slow, smirking at the way your release and his dripped out of you, making a mess onto the floor.
You slid and he let you, crumpling into the floor, too tired and fucked out to make yourself stand, thighs burning and shaking, whimpering when the heels of your feet dug into your ass. Eddie smirked, smug and proud of how ruined you were now, how ruined he'd made you.
He reached for his jeans, fishing a cigarette out, lighting it while he watched you slowly drift back into yourself. Head lolling to the side, breaths evening out, and whimpering when the harsh carpet scratched against your ass. He'd nearly finished the stick when you finally looked up at him, soft eyed and glazed.
Eddie smirked, blowing smoke at you. "Welcome back, Princess," He snarled.
You rolled your eyes, half hearted and tired, shifting to gently try to stand. He grinned watching you, knocked knees, shaky legs, pushing yourself up and trying to hide your little whimpers and grunts. Still so stubborn and spoiled; he wished he was surprised.
"Finally learn your lesson?" Eddie asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Fuck off," You grumbled, but you couldn't bring yourself to be mean, too tired and sore.
Eddie hummed, shaking his head. "Guess we'll have to try again." He sighed, mocking and mean. You glared at him, he shrugged. "I'll break you eventually. I know there's a good girl in there deep, deep down inside."
"Yeah? Let me know when you find her." You snapped, lazily grabbing your dress. You didn't see your underwear, deciding to leave them wherever they were. You wouldn't be needing them anyways, the thought of the scratchy lace on your ass made you cringe.
Eddie laughed. "You're kinda funny when you're not so mean." He tilted his head to the side.
You gave him an unimpressed look, slipping your dress back on, haphazardly, trying to walk as straight and normal as you could past him. You didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing you limp.
"You know where to find me next time you need to be put in your place, baby." Eddie grinned, leaning against the doorway. You turned, his cock hanging limply in front of him, and you could see how it glistened and shined in the low lights of the hallway.
"Now I know where to avoid." You snarled, mouth filling with spit at the sight of his cock, you swallowed it furiously. "We're not doing this shit again. Wasn't worth it." You bit, venomously and full of hate, eyes narrowing at him.
Eddie laughed at you, loud and mocking. "Oh, you'll be back." He said confidently. "And you know exactly where to find me. I'll see you then, Princess." He smirked, smugly, eyes rolling down your frame before he walked across the hall, shutting the door to what you assumed was his bedroom. You told yourself you'd never know, but you knew deep down that wasn't true.
You hobbled down the steps, heels in hand, hissing with stretch of your abused skin and aching pussy. Farrah grinned at you, standing from the bench by the doorway.
"Hey," She grinned, eyes lighting up in amusement.
"Don't." You snapped, shaking your head. "Just-just, get me the fuck outta here. I don't want to talk about it."
The car out front started, driving you through the gates, the soft glow of the sunrise filling the tinted windows of the car. Farrah pressed ups for questions, giggly and excited. You snarled, blaming it on the alcohol and boredom, but you knew better. You knew you'd be back, Eddie knew you'd be back, and you knew deep down that this was the beginning of something. Whether that something would be beautiful or detrimental, you weren't sure yet, but you couldn't wait to find out.

marketing ploy - LN4 / ch. 3
a little (drunken) insight to Olivia and Oscar's relationship. Plus, a conversation she’s definitely not supposed to overhear, and one she finds makes her start to regret everything.
piastri!oc x lando norris / fake dating, brothers best friend trope
warnings/notes: alcohol/drunkness, language, like two jokes about sex, i named oscars sisters bc i couldn't find anything after two minutes of searching and also its cute ok

06 APRIL 2023 — MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA ↴
“Oscar!” I shout, the clock striking midnight. At my mother's house in Melbourne, we’re already all terribly drunk in the pool with only our eldest sister Ophelia's half sober boyfriend to make sure we all don’t drown while the 'middle' sister Oaklynn is in control of the aux so our extended family can't ruin the mood with what we call 'divorced dad rock.' It's an average Piastri birthday party, booze, music, and sopping wet bodies across the pool deck in the mid Autumn chill.
“Ollie?” Oscar says, turning around and slipping on the wet deck, splashing vodka all over the ground beneath him. Lily giggles into the back of her hand, steadying herself on his arm, and I snort as Oscar makes a face at the spilled drink.
We were so not going to have a good flight back to England tomorrow night.
“Happy birthday to my twin brother because its now midnight, baby!” I shout, being met with loud cheers as my mother guides me across the pool deck so I don't fall in. As Lily takes the now half empty glass from Oscar, I'm handing him what is probably the biggest shot of the night. He grins, arm wrapping around my shoulder as we clink our glasses in toast, tap them on our lifting knees and then take the shots with no chasers. The Fireball washes down my throat fine, but Lily’s shrill laugh lets me know Oscar’s not faring so well as our family claps at our celebratory shots.
“Come on, Ossie!” I laugh, leaning into him as I giggle and he laughs in turn, hiding his face in my hair as he groans and slumps against me. Luckily, Lily is smart enough to slip the shot glasses out of our hands.
“Why do I always let you pick Fireball? It burns every time I drink it.” He complains into my hair before stepping back, I grin up at him as a polaroid flashes.
“Twenty two slaps!” someone shouts before I can respond to Oscar. I scream, running to be out of the way of the barrage of backhands from our sisters when I trip. Oscar tries to catch me, bless him, and we both end up screaming as we tumble into the pool with a loud splash.
“Good lord—" Josh, Ophelia's boyfriend laughs, and he and Lily help us all back to the deck with plenty of half-wet towels to try and dry us off. I giggle and sit up once the parties attention is shifted elsewhere, some song playing that takes the heat off of us for a moment. I peek up to look at Oscar and he smiles at me, poking my nose.
“Thanks for this party." He says and I shrug, going to say its no big deal as I always do when he continues talking,
"Lando’s stress is rubbing off on me. With him being next in line for the best racer position, McLaren's pushing me and Bia up as quick as they can. I think they're expecting someone to try and buy Lando out from them.” he murmurs and in my head, the rest of the party fizzles out. My attention is solely on the man born a few minutes before me. His arm wraps around mine as he pulls me to his side. I slot there, where I belong, a comforting embrace of an older brother of the same womb.
"Lando's contract goes to 2026, and lets not worry about F1 right now." I poke his thigh where a bruise from a minor crash in training months back was finally finishing its healing stages, "Ossie, you, and everyone here, come before anything or anyone else. I would rather throw you a big party than fly back to England to chase around statistics with Red Bull for a few days."
I close my eyes as the world spins around me and I feel Oscar shift. His body heat vanishing around my shoulders, the air seemingly changes as some sort of breeze rolls across the pool deck. It makes me shiver, and I glance up at Oscar to see him staring into the light reflections of the glowsticks deep in the water our legs dip into.
“Ossie?” I whisper. He's in his head again, and this time I'm concerned it's my fault for some reason. His tongue pokes out, a sharp breath coming through his nose before he turns to me.
“What’s happening with you and Lando?"
Oh for the love of god--
"I know, I know, okay, older brother don’t let him hurt you speech bullshit blah blah but… is there something there?” Oscar blurts out with the upmmost care in his tone. I'm taken aback by how genuinely worried he seems about it.
“It’s nothing serious.” I deflect, hand coming to squeeze his wrist just above the watch he wears (that is definitely ruined now), “Just some flirting, some gifts… it’s like testing the waters.”
“Is he… kind to you?” Oscar's tone is far too accusing for my liking, almost like he's expecting me to say no, but despite that I nod.
“Too kind.” I find a small giggle escapes my lips. I have the urge to tell him everything, to say it’s all for media, but something makes me stop myself other than knowing it would kinda ruin the whole secrecy of it. Oscar watches my face, and I can see him sense there’s a lie, but he doesn’t push.
“Okay.” he sighs, taking my hand and squeezing it, “as long as he’s good to you.”

10 APRIL 2023 — MILTON KEYNES, UK ↴
"I'm bored." Oscar whines over the phone, making me laugh as I settle down at my desk in Red Bull's home base. There's about sixteen hours worth of things I need to cram into the next eight, considering my statistics for the next grand prix are due in like... twenty six hours?
"Aren't you supposed to be training?" I hum, reading through files and highlighting important notes I know I'll need to bring up with my team during our meeting tonight.
"Lando's going right now, and I kinda almost puked after endurance so I’m taking a break.” He makes a mock gagging noise and I recoil and groan and his soft laughter comes through my headphones.
"Christ, Ossie." I lean back in my chair, staring at the list of notes of things we need to improve by Azerbaijan, "Augh, this is gonna be the death of me. Max's numbers keep changing so he keeps skewing the data, at least Perez is pretty consistent."
"How many sensors do you guys have for Azerbaijan?"
"I'm not doing that work today, thats Kylie's job. Most of my work right now is just making sure that the car isn’t literally falling apart in Max’s hands since he’s been pushing it so hard this year.” I run my hand through my hair, feeling the grease along my hairline and cringing. I need a self-care day soon.
"Oh and Kylie’s pretty much running real time analytics herself this race so I might be able to hang around you at McLaren for a while if Christian's not breathing down my neck."
“Sick. I need to introduce you to the new social media photographer. Lando convinced her to a do a whole section on film.” Oscar giggles and my eyes widen--film photography was one of my passions in secondary school, and I can't imagine trying to shoot F1 on it.
“This poor girl.” I laugh as I adjust my seating and open the sensors scan from the left tire of Max's car, noting any abnormalties that haven't already been flagged. In the silent lull in the conversation, there’s a click and a creak on Oscar’s end of the call.
“Oscar—“ Lando’s talking is muffled for half a second before I hear something fall and a chair squeak, “what were you trying to ask me about earlier?”
My did my heart flutter when I heard Lando talk?
Nope. No. No, thank you. No.
I did not like Lando Norris.
“Oh—hold on Ollie—I’m going to attempt to mute.” I hear Oscar laugh as he taps his phone-screen, and like many times I’ve been on the phone with him I have to pause to see if he actually managed to mute the call.
Oscar seemed to always miss the important buttons, like hanging up or muting himself. Over the years, I’ve heard quite a few things I wasn’t supposed to.
Like Oscar’s next question—
“If I don’t just say it I’m never gonna ask, because it’s such a cliche thing but—what exactly are you trying to do with my sister..?”
I nearly die as my cheeks flush bright red as I scramble to pick my phone up.
Okay, super overdramatic reaction, but hearing this conversation happen in real time is not something I can feel like I would be able to physically handle. So, I’m quick to turn my volume all the way down and take off my headphones as soon as Lando’s laugh makes my cheeks dust pink.
Oscar was never particularly protective over me, in fact it had always been opposite. Even as the youngest Piastri I was constantly protecting my older siblings with my whole heart, like when Oaklynn was being bullied by her pole vaulting captain and I hit that guy so hard I broke his nose, or when Ophelia first got her heart broken and I drove all the way from Melbourne to Sydney in one go to pick her and her stuff up from his house. Oscar and I had many moments like that, considering our sisters were a bit older than us, it was always Oscar and I together. I had moved to England with him when he chose to pursue racing, he had been there every late night I spent studying to get into analytics as early as I had.
And I knew one day Oscar would have this conversation with the man I would marry, someone who took my entire heart in his hands and held it so gently I felt safer than I ever had.
But, Lando was not that guy. Not as far as I was aware.
Maybe ten minutes later, figuring the conversation is long done, I turn up the volume and just catch the end of it. Oscar's laughing, theres a soft thwack of someones arm being hit as Lando keeps talking, his voice fading into my headphones.
"...Ollie's just... I could stare at her all day and never get bored."
"You are--" Oscar laughs, and I hear him hit Lando's arm again, "so so goddamn cheesy, mate!"
"Sorry!" Lando laughs, and I try to ignore the way I bring a hand to my mouth as I stand up and pace around a little, shaking my hands and arms out a I try to suppress the giggles that bubble to my chest.

"Olivia Piastri."
"Max Verstappen."
"Olivia Louise Rae Piastri."
"Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc."
"Shit, she remembered."
I snort as I set my bag down as Max and Charles hover at my desk in the Azerbaijan paddocks. I'm starting to think the Ferrari driver might be having a contract change soon if his team is so lax with him basically living with us in Red Bull.
"What?" I ask, crossing my arms as the fabric of one of Lando's plain black leather jackets he'd lent me rubs the fabric of the sweatshirt I'd stolen from him underneath.
"How was your drift date?" Max grins and I roll my eyes as I plop down in my chair. Charles takes his spot in one of the side chairs as Max sits on the edge of my desk.
"He showed up to Red Bull, brought me flowers, we stopped to get takeout food and then went to the car show. He knew one of the guys drifting so we got to ride in his car and then he invited me over to watch a movie and we both fell asleep halfway through." I lean forward, "does that satisfy you?"
"Sleep?" Charles prods and I take a pen off my desk and throw it at him.
"Yes, sleep." I huff and before Max and Charles can continue their barrage of idiotic comments and questions, three knocks sound to the creak of the hinges as Christian steps into my office with Ada right behind him.
"Morning Chris, Ada." I nod and Max and Charles stand, greeting them both with firm handshakes.
"Ferrari might need their driver back, Leclerc, and Max--you need to get dressed." Christian waves them off without as much as a hello, before Ada shuts and locks my office door.
"What?" I find myself asking again as Ada grins to me.
"Sales are up 70%." She says, "We've made around... 28 thousand pounds so far."
"Holy shit." Is all I can say. 28 thousand pounds in revenue because Lando and I were pretending to date?
"You guys are doing swimmingly, we just have one more stipulation. You've already done the soft launch, Lando will be doing his tonight. The next thing you guys need to do, other than the paparazzi date but Astrid is working with Lando on that right now, is the celebration." Ada clasps her hands, Christian nods, keeping his back to the door that leads into the office and for some reason it feels suffocating.
"Great Britain. Hopefully Lando will podium, its his home race, a nice little kiss, it'll be cute."
We have to kiss in front of everyone. How could I fucking forget? The GB prix isnt for a while, two months if I remember right, but my mouth goes dry at the thought of kissing Lando Norris.
I don't remember agreeing and bidding goodbye to the two, all I know is my stomach ache doesn't go away for the rest of the night. Even when I ball the fabric of Lando's jacket--still smelling like him, over my face and scream into it.

Penny in the Air
Robin is a lot of things: judgey, hyperactive, anxious, impulsive, talkative, loud- there’s a list okay, and she’s very familiar with it. High up the list is that she is very, very gay (if possible, she’s pretty sure she’s actually getting gayer. She blames Steve for this, as she’s pretty sure it has to do with being able to finally talk about her crushes to someone other than her reflection.)
The point is, she’s gay, so she’s not surprised that she notices first. The Steve-Eddie thing. Because it is, in fact, a thing at this point.
She knows Eddie is gay- knows it like the sky is blue and David Bowie rocks- because of, y’know, the way he is (if she had any doubt, the way he leaned in while calling Steve “big boy”, ew, killed it dead.) Her research suggests this is “gaydar,” but its very unfair, she thinks, that so far it has only detected exactly (2) gays, both men, making it pretty much useless. It has given her exactly 0 information on Vickie.
She empathizes with Eddie’s position. Feels it pang under her sternum when his eyes go soft watching Steve talk emphatically, hair flopping around in that ridiculous way it does. Knows how it must catch in his throat when his hand suddenly retracts halfway to Steve’s shoulder, going to his own hair to cover the aborted movement. Tries hard to not over-identify with the sharp tug he gives there, trying to snap himself out of it (fails because she did literally exactly that when Vickie was in the video store the previous day, almost as if he had seen and copied the mechanism).
The part of the puzzle she can’t figure out is Steve. She’s annoyingly aware that he likes (groan) boobies, thanks Fast Times, and he isn’t treating Eddie like a girl whose number he’s trying to score. That being said, whenever the older boy appears, Steve lights up like a damn Christmas tree. Affection doesn’t have to be romantic; she knows this- wants to hit several of the kiddos over the head with it whenever they allude to her dating Steve- but empathy for Eddie is tinting her judgement, and once you put on the gay rose-tinted glasses it’s hard to unsee the possibility. It certainly seems like flirting. Rearranging his hair every three seconds, drawing Eddie’s eyes to the mane that is his pride and joy. Getting what she can only describe as unnecessarily close when he squeezes by Eddie in the video store aisles or whoever’s living room they’re sprawled in, hands brushing a shoulder, back, or one time his hip under the pretense of maintaining balance. The soft blush whenever Eddie flirts hard in a way he knows can be passed off as a joke. The honest megawatt smile Steve gets whenever Eddie starts in on his usual antics is infinitely more endearing than the smolder he’s learned to use like a weapon.
She usually knows exactly what Steve is thinking or feeling before he does. They’ve got that whole platonic soul mate telepathy thing, and he’s easily the center of her social world. So, since she can’t tell what he’s thinking (other than the obvious but unhelpful “Eddie, yay!”), she’s 99.9% sure, from experience, ok, that it means he isn’t thinking. Like at all. So, what she’s witnessing is instinctive, his body just moving into Eddie’s space because it feels correct, and he hasn’t paused to think about it.
He’s walking that line of comfortable and affectionate that is ambiguously intimate. Could be platonic, could be more. It would be frustrating for anyone with a crush, but she knows from bitter experience with straight-girl crushes that Eddie must be going insane. And yes, Robin and Eddie are friends, but not close enough for her to open a conversation with “So you’re obviously gay and into Steve, my best friend who I talk to every second of every day, and no he hasn’t mentioned it, and neither have I. What’s up with that?” Similarly, she can’t quite figure out how to bring it up to Steve without accidentally outing Eddie in the process.
That’s the main reason she’s keeping her mouth uncharacteristically shut on the subject. She is not, however, above the occasional raised eyebrow, ok, especially as Eddie’s flirting slowly becomes ridiculously obvious. The man is literally leaning on the counter, chin on his hand, mooning up at Steve through his eyelashes. Steve has his hip propped on the opposite side, leaning into the shared space. How are either of them this oblivious, seriously.
~*~
She’s there when the penny finally drops.
They’re not even watching a romantic movie, it’s fucking Life of Brian, all three of them calling out their favorite lines along with the actors, throwing things and generally goofing off. If she takes the armchair to force the boys together on the couch, she doesn’t think anyone can blame her. If she’s feeling a little smug that they both sit in the middle, right next to each other, instead of taking opposite ends, she keeps it to herself. She might not want to stick her foot right in the middle of that mess, but she’s not above setting booby traps.
Robin couldn’t tell you exactly when Steve’s arm went around Eddie’s shoulder; it was somewhere between Eddie practically climbing into Steve’s lap for a “Biggus Dickus” re-enactment, the closeness and flirting safely enveloped in humor, and Steve attempting to force Eddie to “haggle” for the bag of chips. When she glances over from the safety of her armchair, Steve’s arm is trapped behind Eddie’s head, draped over his shoulder on the opposite side. Eddie, usually a constant ball of fidgety motion, is frozen stiff like he’s trying not to scare off a nervous rabbit. Even in the blue light coming off the screen she can see the flush coloring his usually nocturnal-pale cheeks.
The thing is, Steve had just discussed this move with her. Told her to invite Vickie to movie night, recommended light, easily joked off roughhousing and settling an arm around her in a way specifically gaged to judge the reaction. Which means he knows. No way he hasn’t finally figured out what his lizard brain has clearly been screaming for months (seriously, she deserves a medal. Someone tell her future girlfriends about her stamina), not with the way he’s twirling a soft brown curl around and around his finger. He must know Eddie can feel that. And oh. Steve is not-so-subtly glancing to his right, trying to gage that reaction like they discussed, to see if this is ok.
Yup. Robin needs to be literally anywhere else. She tries to be subtle (insert laugh here), muttering “bathroom” and legging it out of the room, seeking the safety of the kitchen. She wasn’t worried though- odds are she could start playing trumpet and those two wouldn’t hear it past the tension of the moment.
~*~
In addition to gay, Robin is also easily bored. She hums along to “Always look on the bright side of life,” drifting in from the living room, crunching on some peppery crackers she found in a cabinet in a way that vaguely matches the song’s rhythm. She would just leave the boys to whatever they were going to do (yuck, don’t think about it), but unfortunately the two people most likely to give her a ride home were occupied (seriously, no thinking about it). She’d held out for as long as she could, really, but if the movie was ending, surely she had given them enough time?
Hoping she wasn’t going to regret it, she peaked out of the kitchen, and was relieved to see that 1) everyone still had clothes on and 2) Steve and Eddie were cuddling. Fucking finally.
“SO, BOYS,” she boomed (remember loud is on the list of things she is), trying not to enjoy the way two ridiculous heads of hair jumped and then shifted away from one another anxiously. “Who finally lost the longest game of gay chicken I’ve ever seen?”
Steve’s head makes an audible thump as it drops against the back of the couch, hands coming up to rub at his face as she rounds the furniture to face them, feeling deliciously smug. Eddie gave up any pretense and buried his face in Steve’s shoulder, sweater and hair completely hiding his face.
“Shut up Robin, go away,” Steve groans.
“Nope! This has been the slowest burn of all time, you guys were killing me. I have to balance it out by being just as insufferable.” she chirped, doing her best Steve impression, hands on her hips and eyebrow quirked.
“Technically, I would say we both won gay chicken since neither of us pulled back. No chickens here. Roosters only, in fact.” Eddie surfaces with a smug little smile, dimples on full display.
“Oh you’re definitely a cock Munson, I’ll give you that,”
“Don’t make me flip you the bird-”
“That’s a bit of ostritch-”
“Well toucan play at that game-”
“I’m so happy I like tits-“
“Why me?” Steve grumbled at the same time Eddie dropped his teasing tone to ask, “Wait what?”
“Me? Lesbian. You? Obviously gay. Steve has been flirting back at you for months you dingus.”
“I’ve been what?” Steve sits up straight, suddenly laser focused on Robin. “I have not. I only realized, like, a week ago-”
He was seriously going to be the death of her.
“Steve. Stephen. My guy. What would you say if I told you a girl had been giving me a hair show, the unnecessary squeeze-by, and big eyes? Consistently. For weeks.”
Eddie starts laughing. Then cackling. Steve went an even deeper shade of red, though she could tell this one was more indignant ruby than embarrassed scarlet.
“Thank you,” Eddie wheezed out, fighting down another fit, picking himself up from where he had slid down the couch. “Oh my god, thank you for fucking noticing that. He was wasn’t he? I thought it was just in my head, y’know, and Gareth always said I tend to imagine signs that aren’t there.”
“Oh I know, you think you have a hard time, girls are so physically affectionate platonically, it’s impossible to tell-”
“Ok. Done with this conversation!” Steve interrupted, standing up between the two of them, hands furiously combing through his hair.
Robin only grinned wider at Eddie. “So, Munson, care to give me a ride home?”
“You know, Buckley, I would be delighted.”
“Hey now-” Steve tried to interject as the two of them moved towards the door.
“Why thank you, kind sir.”
“Don’t mention it, fair lady. Your chariot awaits.”
“Wait, hang on, Eddie-” Steve’s tone shifted from confused to plaintive as she stepped out into the night. And she resolutely pretended to not hear Eddie’s reply before he closed the door behind them.
“Sit tight, big boy, I’ll be right back!”

What Are We? Pt. 4
A/N: Heavy on the angst with this one. Plane crash injuries. Vomit, blood and some vulgarity. Mentions of God, religion and atheism. That's everything, I think. As always all mistakes are my own and minors are strictly FORBODEN. You and you alone are responsible for your reading choices. Happy reading everyone 📚! Likes, hearts, comments and reblogs are always appreciated!! Much love ❤
Coyote's POV:
Somewhere in the California Desert:
Pain. That's the first thing that came to Coyote's mind as he unhooked himself from his deflated parachute. His left arm at an odd angle, he grimaced as he looked down at it. Definitely dislocated, possibly broken. This is going to hurt he thought as he braced himself against the jagged rock wall.
He braced himself as best as he could and painfully shoved his arm back into the socket. "Son of a bitch!" Echoed in the vast darkness as Coyote popped his arm back into place. He spit blood into the sand and looked around for any sign of Hangman. He finally spotted Jake's white parachute tangled in some trees and Coyote saw his limp body dangling from the treetops. He ran over to where Jake was and grabbed onto his booted foot and started shaking him.
"Shit, Jake. C'mon man, ya gotta wake up. Please. " Coyote leaned against the base of the tree and hung his head. He lowered himself onto the ground and leaned his head against Jake's foot and felt the despair begin to settle in.
Jake's POV:
Pain. His whole body wracked with pain and something or someone leaning on his leg. Excruciating pain shot through Jake's head as he tried to look and see who or what it was. He couldn't see anything so he kicked whoever or whatever it was and he heard a faint "ow." Coyote looked up just in time for Jake's foot to kick him in the head.
"What the fuck, man." Coyote yelped as he pulled himself up using Jake's long legs to help. "Get me down from here." Jake groaned as the pressure in his head erupted and he leaned over and emptied the contents of his stomach. "I think that I'm going to be sick," Javy whined.
"Don't be a pussy," Jake spat as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Javy tossed him his pocket knife as Jake cut himself from his harness and fell to the arid desert ground with a thud. Coyote helped untangle Jake from his parachute and shoved it back into the bag. Jake laid there for a second, the wind knocked out of him as he took stock of his injuries. His head was pounding like he had the worst hangover known to mankind.
His whole body ached bone deep, he felt like he had been run over and dragged by a semi truck over broken glass but I guess that's what happens when you crash your grade A military fighter jet going at top speed. He didn't think that anything was seriously wrong, he just hurt like hell. Possibly a concussion and broken ribs. But it could have been a lot worse, Jake didn't believe in God but by the grace of he and Javy were going to walk out of the desert alive and in one piece. Javy helped him to stand and slung one of Jake's arms over his shoulders and they started walking towards the crash site.
They limped towards the wreckage and stood together in stunned silence. They held onto each other as they stared at the crashed fighter jet and Javy dropped Jake's arm and scrambled over the smoking wreckage and started digging around. "What are you looking for, man? There's nothing left that can help us." Jake heard Javy exclaim triumphantly as he held something small and dark in color above his head. "It's the radio, it might still work. Let them know that we're ok and maybe I can give them our location."
Jake watched as Coyote fiddled with the radio, trying to get a signal. Jake shook his head and started to say that it was useless when he heard it crackle to life. "Command central, this is Lt. Javy Machado and Lt. Jake Seresin we had to eject before we could get coordinates for our last known location. Is anyone out there?" The radio crackled once and went silent and Coyote looked over his shoulder as Jake hung his head in dejection. Javy was about to say that they should pick a direction and start walking when the radio crackled to life, "this is Admiral Johannsson we have military search and rescue on the way, stay where you are. They'll be there shortly. "
Javy clasped the radio to his chest and said a silent thank you to whoever was looking out for them. He glanced over his shoulder and saw Jake look up at the starry night sky and Javy knew that Jake was thinking about Y/N. Coyote made his way back over to Jake and clapped his shoulder and relayed the message and Jake nodded in acknowledgement. They stood together in thankful silence as they saw the lights and heard the sirens of the rescue team. A team of paramedics ushered Jake and Javy out of the way and into the back of the ambulance and put hypothermic blankets over their shoulders and started tending to their wounds.
One paramedic was putting Javy's left arm in a sling to stabilize it. Jake got the brunt of the injuries, as a paramedic shined a flashlight in his eyes. "Lt. Seresin, you have a concussion. Can you tell me what day it is?" Jake winced at the light and muttered "it's Tuesday, I think." She slipped the pen flashlight back into her breast pocket and nodded as she wrote something onto a piece of paper attached to a clipboard.
"Good, are you feeling nauseous or have you vomited within the last few hours?" Javy raised his right hand and answered the question for him. "Yes Ma'am, Hangman's vomit is currently on the ground. It was nasty." She cracked a small smile and made another note on the clipboard. "Alright Lieutenant, I want you to stand up please and let me know if you have any trouble balancing, feelings of dizziness or blurry and or double vision?" Jake stood up and wobbled on his feet.
She watched as he swayed on his feet and made more notes on his chart. "Feeling woozy? Sluggish? Hazy? Foggy? Sensitive to light and sound? Disoriented? Can't concentrate?" Jake nodded "All of the above, ma'am." She jotted down some more notes and helped Hangman sit back down. She took his blood pressure and made one final notation and indicated that he should lay down on the stretcher. "Is that really necessary?" he was barely able to get the question out as she put an oxygen mask over his face.
"Better safe than sorry, Lieutenant." She jumped out of the back of the ambulance and before she could slam the doors shut Jake struggled to sit up and he removed the oxygen mask, "wait! Where are you taking us? Can you please let my girl know that I'm ok? Please?" Hangman gave his best puppy dog eyes and she looked over her shoulder to make sure that nobody was watching her as she climbed back in and sat next to Coyote. She ripped off a piece of paper and wrote down the information that Jake gave to her. She slipped it in her back pocket and jumped out of the ambulance and before slamming the door she said "Gentlemen, you get an all expenses paid trip to the lovely and scenic Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton. We hope you enjoy your stay." Jake groaned as he collapsed back onto the stretcher as the ambulance lit up the night sky and his only thought was of you. He whispered your name and thought of you as the darkness claimed him.
Y/N POV:
Back at the base camp word had quickly spread like wildfire that Hangman and Coyote had been found alive and being transported to the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton. Rooster didn't have the heart to wake you up but he knew that there would be hell to pay if he didn't. He looked down at you as gently snored and a little bit of drool was pooling in the corner of your mouth. He reached a big hand up to your shoulder and gently started shaking you awake. "Y/N, time to rise and shine. They found Jake and Javy, they're being transported to the hospital right now."
You groggily cracked one eye open and picked your head up off of something hard. You looked up into Rooster's honey brown eyes and he gave you an impish smile. "Hey, Sleeping Beauty. They found your Prince Charming." You shot up out of your chair, almost toppling it backwards as the blanket tumbled from your shoulders. You weren't sure if you were hearing him correctly and you just stared at him.
You stood there as comprehension slowly dawned on you. They found them. They found Jake and Javy. You stared at Rooster, not knowing what to say as you felt every single emotion from confusion and disbelief to utter euphoria. You felt the tears begin to form behind your eyes as you felt yourself sinking to the ground.
Before your knees could hit the ground, Rooster caught you and pulled you into his embrace. You began sobbing uncontrollably and he rocked you back and forth as he let you get it out of your system. You clung onto him as sobs painfully wracked your body. You felt the warmth of Rooster's big hand as he soothingly rubbed your back. He handed you a tissue as you tried to pull yourself back together.
Rooster stood up and he reached out a hand and pulled you up and onto your feet. You smiled weakly up at him as you heard a commotion further up the command post. You both looked over and saw a paramedic searching the crowd with her eyes. A piece of crumpled up paper in her hand. You two made eye contact with each other and she started to make her way through the crowd towards where you and Rooster were standing.
"Are you Y/N?" Rooster heard you audibly gulp and you nodded, not trusting yourself to speak. What if something happened to them on the way to the hospital. She reached out to hand you the piece of paper and your hand was visibly shaking as you took it from her. She looked at you with compassion in her eyes as you struggled to open the note. You were shaking like a leaf in the frigid fall air as Rooster took pity on you and gently took the crumpled up piece of paper from your hands and thanked the paramedic as she nodded and disappeared into the night.
You shut your eyes and took a deep, calming breath and you heard the paper rustling as Rooster opened the note and gave it a quick glance as he looked over at you standing still with your face turned up towards the night sky as you felt a soft breeze against your skin. You felt something warm touch your upper arm and you wiped away tears of relief with the back of your hand and you reach over and take the note from him and grasp his hand in a quick show of your appreciation for him being there for you. Rooster nodded at you and stepped away to speak with Maverick and Phoenix and to give you some space to read Jake's note. You braced yourself and opened up the folded paper. It wasn't Jake's handwriting so you figured that he must have gotten the paramedic to write it.
Y/N, I won't tell you not to worry because that's what you do best. We're OK, a little banged and bruised but nothing more serious than some scrapes. We're currently at the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton, I really want to see you.
Yours Forever, Jake.
You could feel the tears forming again behind your eyes but they didn't fall. You pulled yourself together as best as you could and you made your way towards your sister. You could feel Rooster and Maverick staring at you, their concern for you radiating off of them. You gave them a weak smile and stood next to Nat. You needed your big sister now more than ever and she could sense that.
You hugged Rooster and Maverick and thanked them for everything. Rooster walked with you towards Nat's car and opened up the door for you and you hugged him again and kissed his cheek as you settled yourself into the passenger seat. You buckled yourself in as you saw Nat say a few words to Rooster and Mav as you let your head rest against the seat and you looked out the window at the horizon as the inky blackness of the night sky gradually gave way to morning. You were bone tired and you could only begin to imagine how exhausted Jake and Javy must be. Surviving a near fatal plane crash must have been beyond terrifying.
You had no more tears to cry so you gave silent thanks to whoever was listening and you heard Nat say goodbye to Rooster and Maverick and she started the car and looked over at you. She smiled at you and you gave her one in return. You finally felt like you could breathe easier as Phoenix started the car and she said "Camp Pendleton?" You nodded in agreement and you felt yourself drifting off as you and Nat made the journey towards the hospital and you couldn't wait to see Jake again and make sure that he and Javy were okay. As you fell asleep, you dropped the note that Jake had written for you and Phoenix picked it up carefully and her curiosity got the better of her, she rolled to a stop at the red light and read what Jake had written to you. In the early dawn hours there was nobody else on the road so as the light turned green Phoenix folded up the note and gently put it in the glove box for safe keeping.
Driving on the back roads gave Phoenix plenty of time for contemplation. Everything happened so quickly, your parents untimely passing, the house back home still needs to be packed up and put on the market, you had only been in California for a few months and still hadn't fully settled in yet. Now another set back with Hangman getting hurt and you still haven't come to terms with everything that has happened to you in such a short period of time. Phoenix wondered when the universe would give you a chance to catch your breath and she whispered a silent prayer that you could finally get a break and a chance to be happy and Nat seriously hoped that once the dust settled you'd see a future for yourself in California.

We're A Family Part 6 (Steddie X You)
A/N: Good morning. I have not slept yet. Why I do not know lol But alas...I bare you this with many an answered question and some disgustingly adorable fluff.
Enjoy! <3
Warnings: Smut, Fluff, and slight angst, Some complex emotions here with the reader feeling overwhelmed. Minimal Charlie drama. Um, I think that's it.
Word Count: 3553
Kierra rubs you back as you lean over the crib you two had been looking at.
“Sweetie, it’s ok.”
“I know. I just…walking into the office and saying ‘paternity’… watching their faces as they poked them… It feels wrong.”
“It’s not wrong, Y/N. What is wrong is charging $800 for a crib.” You laugh as she flashes you the price tag and pushes you forward to the next one. Your eyes flick to Steve who’s across the store with Dylan looking at baby clothes.
Someone suddenly bumps into your side and you immediately apologize, closing your mouth when you see who it is.
“I’m…I’m sorry. I really didn’t…”, Vivian stumbled over her words.
“No, um, it’s fine.”
She smiles looking at the items in her hands before quickly hiding them. “I’m not…I swear…my sister is pregnant so we’re getting stuff for the baby shower.”
“We?”
“Well look at you, Y/N.” You roll your eyes as Charlie comes into view. “I heard a rumor you were pregnant but I didn’t believe it.”
“Yup. Because what man would want to make love and start a family with me?!”
His eyes narrowed at your sarcastic tone. “Your lawyer talk to you yet?”
“Charlie! To what do we owe the pleasure?” Eddie came up beside you and your sister as he politely nods a hello to Vivian.
“As you can see, I’m talking to Y/N here.”
“And as you can see this isn’t a courthouse and your lawyers aren’t here so feel free to be on your way.”
“Ok. Alright now.” Steve came from behind your ex and stepped between them making you panic as you looked around for Dylan. His little eyes met yours from his place behind Vivian and your heart broke. “Let’s not do this in the middle of a baby supply store in front of Dylan.”
Charlie searched for him, beaming down at the boy. “Hey Dil. How are you doing, kid?”
Vivian called after him as he ran in the opposite direction and you disconnected from the group to follow him. You found your son sitting on a piece of display furniture with his head hung down to his chest. Pulling over a rocking chair, you sit beside him as you lightly rock back and forth.
“When you were a baby, we had a chair kind of like this one, and every time you cried, one of us would hold you as we rocked. It worked every time. No one believed me either! ‘Every time? No way!’”
You smiled at him as you noticed him doing the same.
“I would do that now but I don’t think with my belly the three of us could fit up here.”
Dylan glanced at you as he took in the chair you were sitting in before scooting over and patting the seat beside him. As soon as you sat down, he curled up into your side as you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, pressing his head to your chest. Pushing off on your toes, you rocked the seat you both were in as the boy started to cry.
“I know, baby. I know.”
Kierra sits in the chair beside you, looking at you both with empathetic eyes. “They left…without incident and, um, the boys bought one of the cribs I told them you said you like so…they are taking it to the car and then bringing it around since it started to rain.”
“Thank you. Come on, weirdo. Let’s go home.”
#############
“I wish you had told me about this relationship, Y/N.”, Lidia sighed as she chugged the glass of whiskey Steve had brought to her. “I mean, this entire thing is bullshit anyway.” She holds up the court documents for emphasis before sliding them across the table. “This environment is way better for him than his fathers.”
“What does she do?”, Eddie asked.
“Right now, nothing. Just focus on your pregnancy and we’ll go from there. I imagine after she gets here, they’ll focus more on time and money when it comes to Dylan and the three of you.”
Their eyes followed you as you slowly rose from the table and without saying a word headed up the stairs. After your lawyer left, they found you in the baby’s room, sitting against the wall as you began assembling her crib.
“Honey…” Steve descended to the floor as Eddie followed. You continued the task in front of you as tears gradually began to fall. One of the pieces you were holding wouldn’t connect with its corresponding part making you frustrated as you slammed them to the ground in anger. The man pushed them to the side as he tried collecting you in his arms.
“No! No. Just… no.”
“Ok. That’s okay, baby.” Your phone in the bedroom began to ring and Eddie quickly got to his feet to see who it was. “We’re right here. Everything’s going to be okay.”
“Um…it’s the doctor’s office.” Eddie’s eyes met Steve’s, unsure of what he should do.
“Y/N, we’re going to turn on the speaker and you just talk.”
You nodded as the metalhead got back down, holding the phone between you three.
“Hey, Y/n!”, the doctor greeted in a happy tone. “How are you and Aurora feeling?”
“We’re alright. Just exhausted.”
“I can imagine. Well, I won’t keep you long. I just wanted to tell you that the paternity test did come back at about 97% probability. When it comes to pre-birth tests, depending on the number, sometimes I suggest another after the baby is born but I don’t see any reason here. It seems Edward Munson is little Aurora’s biological father.”
Eddie exhaled heavily as he dropped the phone to the floor.
“Hey doc, this is Steve. Thanks for giving us a call. We’ll call you back tomorrow if we have any more questions.” Before the man could say anything, Steve hung up the phone. “What’s going on, guys. What are we feeling?”
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
His large palms reached over to cup your face. “Y/N, listen to me. This changes absolutely nothing. She is OURS. Mine and Eddie’s. I love her with every fiber of my being and I love you to.”
The metalhead wiped his eyes before extending his arms, pulling you into a hug. “Thank you.”
You lean back, looking at him with total confusion. “I just… I spent most of my life being called trash. The only other girl we were serious with said she never wanted to have any of my kids. I was so sure she was Steve’s. It never even really sunk in that biologically she could be mine. I…I never thought this would ever happen for me…to have a little me running around.”
He pulled your lips to his and you allowed it as you kissed him back.
“I’m sorry for…me.”, you laughed as you explained. “The other day with Charlie in the baby store, just seeing my son so heartbroken… and then this custody bullshit. I don’t want to put him through that. I’m tired of him and you guys always…fighting. Dylan fighting to have the dad he wants from Charlie and you two always fight for me when it comes to him, Steve’s dad, my mom. Add in this…”, you gesture to your phone. “It killed me watching you take that test. I feel like the four of us haven’t had any time to breathe since I got pregnant. I feel like we aren’t as happy as we used to be.”
##########
“Um, where are we going?”, you scanned outside your window when you realized Steve wasn’t headed back home.
“You’ll see.”
You knew that grin. He and Eddie were definitely up to something. “Weirdo, do you know what they are up to?”
“Uh, no. Not this time.”
“Excuse me, sweetheart. The child isn’t always the brain trust of our mischievous deeds.” You giggle as you lean back in your seat and accept your fate.
As Steve pulls into a parking lot, Eddie points to the building. “Kid, what does that say?”
“Hawkins Ak-war-e-um?”
The metalhead grinned as he ruffled his hair, your head whipped around to look at them. “Hawkins Aquarium?”
The other man smiled as he got out of the car, running around to help you out on your side. “We thought you were right. The four of us haven’t gone out to have some fun in a while.”
Dylan’s eyes grew as you guys stepped inside, taking in all the gigantic tanks around him. He gripped your hand and pulled you further inside as the guys lingered back to pay.
“Wow. I never would have guessed Hawkins had anything like this.”
“Honestly, we didn’t either. A quick google search informed me otherwise.”, Steve smiled. Eddie lightly pushed your son and both boys ran down a long hallway. “Jesus, I’m telling you, honey. We’re going to have three kids in the house.”
You playfully slap his chest as you two follow after them. “Steve? How, um, how are you really feeling about…everything with Aurora?”
His fingers intertwine with yours as he sighs. “Y/N, I meant what I said the other day. She’s both of ours and I still love her. Now that we know, at least next time, we can use my… you know.”
You giggle up at him as he blushes. “Mr. I talk dirty in bed can’t say the word sperm?”
“Yeah, yeah. Calm down.” Steve’s smile grows as he leans down to kiss your lips. “Plus, did you see how happy Eddie was? Fucking Emily and his parents made him think anything from the Munson gene would be garbage.” His nostrils flare as he shakes his head.
You watch as the metalhead lifts Dylan into his arms as they point at the glass. “Mom, look.”
A whine escapes your lips as you notice a shark swim by. “Ew. What was that?”, Eddie laughed.
“I don’t like sharks. My dad showed us Jaws at the wrong age.”
“Jaws. With the fake ass, mechanical shark?”
“I know. It doesn’t even look real.”, Dylan giggles.
You turn to glare at Steve with a joke-filled annoyed face. “So, yeah, I told Robin he might be too young but she insisted it wasn’t scary. He did fine though!”
“Oh my god. You two are the worst.”
“Me?! Why am I being lumped in with him?”, Eddie whines.
“Because! I’m sure you did something. I know it.”
###############
After you guys got home the boys announced they had one more surprise, demanding you and Dylan close your eyes as they guided you both up the stairs.
“Ok, you two, open ‘em.”
Your jaw dropped as your son gasped in excitement. Eddie and Steve had led you into the baby’s now finished room. They had completed painting the walls a light shade of pink before lining it with different mementos of the family. By her completely assembled crib, hung the Corroded Coffin banner you remembered had previously hung in Eddie’s room at the trailer. Along the other walls were posters for movies Steve had actually seen including The Princess Bride and Sleeping Beauty.
Next to a bookshelf in the corner, they had painted a simplified version of the Hogwarts logo from Harry Potter along with every family member name and the house they belonged to according to Dylan. Inside the shelf itself, there were books and photos of the entire family including Kierra, Wayne, and Robin. In another corner, boxes were leaning against the wall.
“Yeah, we haven’t gotten to set those up yet. That’s, uh, changing table and a rocking chair, I believe. Kid said we had to get a chair like that.” Dylan beamed up at Eddie as he spoke.
“I think now all we need is a basinet, highchair, and whatever those bouncy chair things are you can sit them in.”
“Bouncy chair thing…” Steve rolls his eyes as he reaches over to punch the boy’s arm. “Oh! And a car seat. Your sister said she knew someone who had a spare so she would bring it by later.”
“Do…do you like it, babe?” When you turned to answer him, the tears were already free flowing down your cheeks. “Oh, honey.”, he chuckles as he reaches for you and you collapse in his arms.
“What about you, dude? Do you like it? You can cry to if you want. I won’t tell anyone.” Eddie chuckles when Dylan makes a face at him.
“I think it’s really cool. Ro is going to love it.
#############
“Hey!” Steve playfully exclaims as he comes into the bedroom to find you and Eddie passionately kissing. “No ‘let’s wait for Steve’ or nothin’!”
You grin up at him as the metalhead’s lips trail away from yours down to you neck. Grabbing his shirt, you yank him to the bed, bringing his mouth to yours. “Thank you for today. It was so nice seeing Dylan smile like that again.”
“It was nice seeing you smile like that again to.”, Eddie adds as he sits up on one of his elbows.
“Um, excuse me. Who told you to stop kissing me?” They both laugh as he kisses your cheek.
“I’m going to be honest here. I really want to fuck you but I also really have no idea how with the…”, he gestures to your belly.
“Well, you see, Eds. You take that big, long thing below your waist and stick it—”
“Ay! Yeah, yeah, sweetheart. Thanks for the sass.”
“You just have to promise to be honest, honey, okay? If we’re hurting you or you feel like you need a break…”
“I promise.” Steve smiles as he starts removing his clothes. “Can I have you both?”
They glance at each other worriedly. “Is it…can we?”, Eddie asks.
“I can lay on my side…”
The metalhead grins as he climbs off the bed and takes off his sweatpants before gradually removing your sleepwear, lips gently caressing your baby bump as you run your fingers through his hair. A small squeak of surprise leaves his body as he feels his legs being pulled towards the end of the mattress.
Steve smirks as he descends to his knees and takes Eddie’s cock into his mouth, flattening his tongue as he takes the boy all the way down to the back of his throat.
“Yes, Steve. Jesus.”
Sucking on the pads of your fingers, you bring them to your clit as you moan watching them. Eddie cranes his neck to watch you, licking his lips at the sight. “Come here, baby.” He pats beside him but you hesitate as he reaches to adjust you over his face.
“Eddie…I… I’m too heavy.”
“Y/N, I love you but shut up. You are NOT too heavy.”, he giggles as he guides you on top of him. “Plus, if this is the way I’m meant to go than I will be the coolest guy in heaven.”
Before you can even respond, his tongue licks a long stripe through your folds. You balance your hands on his chest as he groans into your body.
“Fuck, princess. You taste different. Sweeter. Oh my god.” His tongue invades your entrance, driving you crazy as your eyes roll back. You whimper his name, feeling yourself clench around him. Eddie’s hips thrust up causing Steve to gag and cling to the man’s thighs.
He flicks his eyes up to you and you flash him a tiny smile as you grind your hips on the metalhead’s face. His thumb reaches up to rub fast circles on to your clit and you immediately cover your mouth, suppressing the need to scream his name.
Gnawing on your bottom lip, your body shutters as you cum. Mewling as Eddie runs his tongue back and forth, licking you clean. You carefully slide off him as Steve climbs up his body to kiss the man’s lips.
They place themselves on either side of you, tenderly kissing any part of your skin they can reach. Eddie grips your hips as he guides himself into your ass, Steve carefully watching your face before lifting your leg and holding your thigh in his hand before sliding into your entrance.
You whimper at the feeling of them as they slowly begin to thrust into you, your head resting on the pillow as it suffocates your moans.
“You…you okay, Y/N?”, Steve pants.
“Yeah, I’m—mmm—I’m alright. Feels…so good.” Eddie sweaty forehead falls against your shoulder as his hips roll, pushing himself deeper into you. “F-fuck, Eddie, baby. Like that.”
Your hands reach forward as you cling to the other man’s neck, leaving a trail of kisses along his jawline. “Steve, you… you can go a little faster. Please… please…I’m almost…”
When he does as you request, you feel as if your entire body is going to explode. A sweaty palm flew over your mouth as your head tilted backwards, moaning loudly as you came. Eddie came with you, grunting into your shoulder as he thrust ropes of his seed into you, wrapping his arms around your front to hold you to his chest.
Steve followed shortly after, his forehead falling to your own as his rhythm slowed, breathing silent moans onto your face as he came inside you. After pulling his cock out, he gently lowered your leg and rolled onto his back. When he turned his head to look at you, your eyes were closed but he knew you were still awake because your hand was tenderly stroking Eddie’s arm that was still clinging to you above your belly.
As for the man himself, all he saw was tussled hair that had fallen over your shoulder.
“You still alive, Munson?”
“Mhmm… just in heaven.” His answer made you laugh.
“Do I have to take a bath?”, you whined. Steve took that as his cue as he got up and headed for the bathroom, grabbing a rag to clean you with. “Thank you…for today.”
“You already thanked us, honey.”
“Well, I’m thanking you again!”
#############
4 Months Later
“Thank you for calling Family Video. This is Steve. How can I—”
“Steven!”
“Kierra? What’s wrong?!”
“Y/N’s water broke. We’re headed to the hospital. Get the other dork and get over here!”
“Kierra…be nice…”, your heavy breathing echoing in the background. “I love you!”
Steve hangs up the phone and practically jumps over the counter. “Whoa, Harrington! Where’s the fire?”
“Y/N’s in labor. I gotta…” She chuckles as he points to the door.
“Go! Send me a picture!”
The man gets in his car and speeds down the thankfully empty Hawkins streets to the mechanic shop to pick up Eddie who dives into the car the moment it pulls up.
They race to the hospital, your sister giggling as they skid down the hallway. “She’s in that room over there. Go be with your wife and I’m going to go get Dylan. He’s got a sister to meet.”
##########
With half lidded eyes, you smile as Eddie holds Aurora in his arms, his finger holding her tiny hand. A big toothy grin spreads across his face when he looks up and sees you and Steve watching him with adoration.
“Shut up.”, he chuckles.
“Mom?” Dylan runs to your bed as Steve lifts him up so he can hug you. “Are you ok?”
“Yeah, weirdo. I’m just tired.”
“Ohhhhh…look at my niece.” Kierra starts to tear up as she sits beside the metalhead and runs her finger gently along the baby’s cheeks.
“Do you want to hold her?”, he asks.
“I do but I promised Dylan he could first.” She kisses Eddie’s cheek before he carefully stands and comes to your side. You position him so he’ll be more comfortable and the man slowly lowers her into his little arms. He smiles as Steve takes a picture.
“She’s so small.”
“Pfft, she didn’t feel that way.”, you giggle as you lean back against the pillow.
“When does she get hair like Steve’s?”
“Oh, dude, I’m afraid she’s going to have hair like mine unless we pray really hard she gets your mom’s gorgeous locks.” Eddie lightly messes his curls making your son laugh.
Dylan and Kierra stayed for a while before heading back home, your sister offering to watch him so the boys could stay with you. Wayne and Robin were going to come by sometime tomorrow and for that you were thankful, desperately ready to get some sleep.
Eddie had already beat you to it, curling up in the chair by the window. Steve, however, was fully alert as he kept an eye on you waiting for you to finish feeding her so he could put her in their makeshift crib.
“Steve? I wanted to wait till everyone was gone before I said anything…”
“What’s wrong, baby?”
“Nothing. I just…you haven’t held her yet.”
“Yeah, I know. I just thought…you know…Eddie should and then Dylan—”
“Steve”, you interrupted. “I know your scared. It’s okay. I promise…you’re not alone, remember? She loves you.”
He held out his hands as you lean forward and place the baby in his arms. “Hey, Ro. I, uh, I don’t know if you remember my voice but…”
Her mouth opens as a small coo emits from her lips. Steve shoulders start to relax as she turns her head towards his chest.
“I’m one of your daddies.”

Delectable
WARNING 18+ MDNI
Y/n nervously bit her nails as she watched Sirius hum and move around the kitchen making snacks for her. Rock music poured from the speakers as he noticed her nervous state and yelled from the kitchen. "Lovie, don't bite your nails. If you want something to bite all you have to do is ask and I will be at your service." He said winking at her
Her cheeks flushed at his words and Sirius enjoyed every bit of it. He swayed his hips with the music as he added final touches to his dishes. Right now his main focus was on the snack that was sitting on his worn-out couch fiddling with her fingers.
He checked the gas knobs and walked towards Y/n as she shifted on the couch. He smirked and kneeled in front of her looking straight into her eyes. "Hey"
She smiled "Hi"
"Lovie I am going to the bathroom for a minute. Once I am back I am all yours. Capishe?"
She simply nods and blushes when he kissed her cheek. She bits her lip, tapping her foot against the wooden floor with the beat of the music when suddenly there is a knock on the door.
She looked through the peephole to find a tall, lanky man with very disheveled sandy blonde hair. She wondered if she should fear the man. Do criminals wear cable-knit sweaters? or better yet do criminals knock?
Sirius yelled from the bathroom "Who is it lovie?"
"uh... a man" she facepalmed herself. The man outside chuckled too. Great. When she looked through the peephole she saw his dark green eyes looking back at her. "It's ok let him in. I will be out in a few minutes"
She wiped her palms which grew sweaty due to nervousness against her brown jeans. She opened the door to find the man leaning against the doorframe, and his eyes looked so tired it looked like he had made an arduous journey here, chewing gum as his eyes traced her figure, a grin spread on his cheek.
He plopped down on the couch in the same spot she was sitting. She went into the kitchen to pour water into a glass. She could still feel his eyes on her. When she returned with the glass of water, he spread his arm on the back of the couch.
She handed him the glass of water. He looked at her in amusement. "Such good manners, good girl."
"Uh..t-thank you" Her heart fluttered at his words. She scolded herself mentally for feeling like this. But before she could think further they were interrupted by Sirius.
"Ah, I see you have finally met Remus." He wrapped his arms around her waist, planting his face on her shoulder.
Remus got up from the couch, closing his distance towards Y/n and Sirius. "Such a sweet girl you have got Pads such good manners." She shivered as his index finger traced her lips.
Sirius grabbed her jaw making her lips pout. "Sorry sweetheart. Change of plans. I like sharing with my best friend, so I hope it won't be too much for you." He was not asking. She looked into the dark green irises of Remus to find them getting darker with lust.
She shook her head when suddenly Remus gripped her throat. He dragged her closer. He leaned his head on her neck and inhaled her scent. His moony side liked how she squirmed due to his actions. "Words puppy and we promise to ruin every man for you."
"y-y-yes please"
Remus groaned "She is killing me Padfoot, I want her now"
Sirius picked her up "You tell us when it is too much ok?" She merely nodded and watched the two boys undress in front of her. Only thought in her mind. I should have taken that yoga class.
------------------------
The following morning she woke up. Surprisingly she didn't feel as sore as she thought she would. She looked at Sirius who snored without a care in the world.
She heard a muffled groan from her behind. She turned around to see Remus scowling at Sirius' sleeping figure. She tried getting up only to be pulled back by the lycanthrope. He nuzzled in her neck as she giggled.
He kissed the bite marks he and Sirius left last night on her neck and shoulder. He looked more gentle than last night, much sweeter. "I hope we weren't too much last night. And thanks for putting up with us."
"Oh it was nothing, you just surprised me that's all. It was a good surprise". She turned around, her index finger gently tracing his scars.
She gasped as he nibbled on her collarbone "Last night I talked to Padfoot when you fell asleep. I hope you don't mind sticking with us."
She smirked and whispered in his ear, her voice still hoarse from screaming last night "I would love to."
He continued pressing soft kisses when a sudden loud snore interrupted them. Her chest rumbled as she laughed, holding Remus close. She picked up a pillow and smacked Sirius before pretending to sleep. Remus' jaw dropped as Sirius woke up with a yelp. He looked at her in amusement.
Sirius got the indication and started poking her ribs and tickling her. "You think you are so funny?" Her giggles made Remus feel light-headed. He just lay there and watched his two love starting their morning differently than he did. He mentally planned for a date to get to know her better while his raven-haired lover would indulge in the food.
A soft smile spread. He got a little greedy with the daydreaming but he allowed himself a little happiness he felt this moment.

Stupid Moth part 1
Chapter: 1, 2.
“I’m sorry, I’m not being thick but you need to start from the beginning,” Wanda fills up your glass then swiftly tips back her own, downing the remainder of her fruity drink.
You sigh cradling your glass until the liquid stills before taking a few swigs of the liquid feeling it burn as it travels down my throat. “Again?” you question buying yourself some time. “I’ve repeated myself twice now.”
The look she gives you is one of pity and love. “Babe I’m sorry it’s just that you and Nat have always been together. So this…” she gestures to the space in between the two of you, “…is very hard for me to understand right now.”
“Yea same” you groan.
Wanda watches tension tighten your forehead. She reaches over to smooth the frown lines appearing there. Her smile is soft as she loops her arm over your shoulder and pulls you into a side hug.
“There’s too much baggage for breaking up” she whispers into the space you are both staring blankly at. “You two dated for what? 3 years?”
You hum. “Four if you include the Jane Austen styled excessively over dramatic pining period.”
“You know,” she laughs and separates from you to look into your eyes. “Some people are meant to be together. Sometimes they get it right on the first try, and sometimes it takes years. You and Nat, you’re that some people.”
Your smile is a sad one. “And some people, when they break up, that’s it” you sigh. “They’re done.”
“It can’t be that bad” she says placing a hand on your knee, her thumb drawing comforting circles on the skin peeking through the hole in your jeans.
You chuckle softly and duck your head in order to hide the tears that have started to well up despite your attempts to stop them.
She knows. She always knows. She pulls you into her and you can no longer contain the tears that fall. You cry into her shoulder like you’ve done so many times before.
“It’s going to be ok” she mumbles into your hair. “You’re going to be ok”.
“I wish I could blame this on Hydra but I can’t. I know that she can love. And it hurts so much more because I know she just can’t love me the way that I love her” you sob.
Wanda just hums running her hand soothingly up and down your back.
“Am I that unlovable? Because she made me feel that I was everything and then one day she got bored of me and just left me hanging out to dry” your words are a little hard to understand but Wanda knows enough to make out what you mean.
“She still loves you” her voice is small as if she is trying to convince herself.
Your sadness morphs into anger as you ball your hands into fists holding Wanda even closer as a means of grounding yourself. “Yea I guess then her love language is leaving me on read for days on end and spending more time with everyone else and treating me like I have the plague or something” you spit out.
Wanda waits as you rant and spew into her shoulder. She holds you tight rocking you slowly side to side. She lets out intermittent little hums of acknowledgment letting you know she’s still listening to your tear drenched monologue. And then it’s over. The catarrh is out. She waits a few more seconds listening to your quite sniffles.
“So,” her voice is a mere whisper. She breaks the silence, “what do you want to do now?”
You sniffle adjusting your head to sit more comfortably in the crook of her neck. “Spend my days watching sad movies, crying, eating tubs of chocolate ice cream and only showering when I can’t stand my own stink,” you wipe your nose with the back of your hand before continuing. “How’s that for a plan?”
“Sounds like a plan to me, sweetie” she says while prying you away from her and wiping your eyes with the pads of her thumbs. She softly kisses your forehead and leans back against the sofa pulling you into her side.
“You pick the movies and I’ll get the snacks.”
Two movies in and the both of you are heavily debating something from When Harry Met Sally. You are animatedly waving your arms around as Wanda keeps interrupting you where she thinks your argument is weak. She laughs at your (very obviously flawed) theories and you cringe-gag-laugh at her impression of Sally’s public orgasm scene in the cafe.
“Listen, all that doesn’t matter right now because, Y/N, I’d totally date you and take care of you” she says not missing a beat.
Your face turns bright red and you’ve already forgotten what you had wanted to say before she blindsided you with her statement. “…what?” you manage.
“Only for a day” she adds a smile teasing on the corner of her lips.
“Excuse me, what?” now you’re offended. What did she mean a day.
“OK five working days, tops.”
You sputter unable to say anything. Your face feels hot as if the frown, eye-blinking and mouth opening and closing were working overtime.
Its then you notice the full blown smile plastered on her face. A laugh erupts. A full-bodied-body-shaking laugh. It is surprisingly deep and bubbly like an expensive bottle of wine. You can’t help but chuckle too.
Apparently something you had said was the funniest thing Wanda had heard all week. She continues to shake for what felt like forever.
Her quaking finally starts to recede and she wipes tears from the corners of her eyes.
“I’m sorry baby. I promise I wasn’t laughing at you” she manages while trying to catch her breath.
“I swear if you say, ‘I was laughing with you’…”
“You gotta admit it’s sorta funny” she slaps you on the shoulder then takes your hand and laces her fingers through yours.
You pout at her mumble something incoherent which sets her off into another bout of giggles. You wouldn’t admit it, not now at least, but it did feel good to laugh and smile.
Just then, you let her slip into your mind for a minute. You see her green eyes and red hair and catch a phantom whiff of her perfume. It hurts.
It hurt that you could never love each other in a physical way. But that was like the tides, the change of seasons. Something immutable, an immovable destiny that could never be altered. No matter how cleverly you might want to shelter it, whatever it is you had with Nat wasn't going to last forever. Not when it was so lopsided. You were both bound to reach a dead end. That was painfully clear.
Wanda throws a piece of popcorn at you without taking her eyes off the movie playing on the TV screen. She must have heard your thoughts. You snuggle closer into her and push Nat to the back of your mind. For now.
For now.
A/N: For @imnotasuperhero I hope you enjoy this. It's not as angsty as I would have liked but I didn't want to keep sitting on it.

Good omens leak talk under cut, literally just vivid descriptions, keep away unless you’ve seen it and it’s too late:
Ok I have literally been staring at that image periodically whenever I think about it for several days. Because I am normal and like things neurotypically. So here’s literally just a big list of observations no matter how minute. If you read this whole thing then the brain worms have made it to your prefrontal cortex.
Crowley has his glasses on (already explained my theory behind that)
Crowley is obviously the instigator but it’s unclear whether or not Azirphale is currently an active participant, or if he’s still processing. I’m leaning on still processing, but it’s hard to tell with the shadow on his brow obscuring his expression and not being able to see his hands
Speaking of that shadow, what the hell is up with the lighting in this scene?? It’s not bad except for making things in an already blurry still unclear, it’s just strange to have something softly back lit but also clearing having another additional light source else where. It’s an interesting choice because it can lead to inference of the circumstances here.
Second, related question: where the hell are they?? So let’s just take stock of everything BUT Azirphale and Crowley we see here. First of all it’s mostly in shadow, however there is a prominent light source behind Aziraphale, possibly close to him. The light we see on Crowley’s hair is likely from the doorway behind them.
Quick detour, the doorway is the brightest thing in the frame, creating a slight silhouette effect. Silhouettes are often used in film for moments that are a big deal but visually obvious. It shows weight through simplicity because you still know what’s happening and why it’s important with way less visual info than normal. We all IMMEDIATELY recognized what was happening and lost our shits even though it’s in shadow and currently obscured by giant text.
Ok so anyway this all leads me to believe they’re in a mostly dark room with one bright but not very far reaching light. I wanna say it’s almost fluorescent? Or an exposed lightbulb? It certainly doesn’t look warm like a lamp to me.
In addition I believe they’re inside a room to a larger building. The light coming from the door is almost certainly NOT day light. It’s purely white as if it’s a very well lit room or hall. There also is what I think looks like an exit sign near the top next to the doorway, or at least idk what else it could be. Because of that I don’t think this is anyone’s home or small shop.
I find this EXTREMELY interesting because the only prominent location we really see fit that vibe or description is the office building of heaven and hell. This season seems to be particularly highlighting that “neutral ground” between then, with the elevator showing up three times.
Now this one is just me trying to interpret literal blobs, but there either appears to be some sort of rounded extension to the top of the door way, or the walls are just thick. Make of that what you will
the room appears relatively spacious but mostly bare, almost like a holding place. But obviously with such a tight frame this can be hard to tell. I did take note of the fact that you can see some brown lines behind Aziraphale in the first frame, so there is clearly something there.
Alright enough waxing poetry about the damn walls, I know that they're probably standing up. Crowley might be in a position where he can twist into it from a sitting position, but with Aziraphale' shoulders so far forward and his back entirely angled to face Crowley, he'd either have to be straddling a chair or his lower spine is snapping like a glowstick.
Aziraphale is not being pushed against anything, he’s rocking backwards despite the force being applied to pull him forward, so in other words our boy Crowley’s REALLY shooting his shot, lmao
Aziraphale’s arms are confusing. They’re clearly not holding onto Crowley even out of frame, but they also don’t seem fully relaxed at his sides to me either.
WAIT, ok so the standing is still a strong contender, but they could also be sitting across from eachother at a small table. Crowley seems hunched over a bit more than is warranted for Aziraphale’s height, and Aziraphale’s arms could propped up at the elbows supporting his weight.
So damnit this adds a whole new layer to the location question

The Redbridge Hunts, Chapter 10
On Sunday evening Loki just relaxed at home, recovering after the party last night, reading a book with a glass of white wine while Bat slept soundly right next to him on the sofa.
His phone suddenly ringing made Bat jump, she let out an annoyed meow before closing her eyes again while Loki chuckled and answered the phone, it was Lucius.
‘Hey, Dad. Is everything’
‘Loki, I need you to come down to the hospital. Right now.’
Loki ran out the door quicker than you could say bat. It was unusual in itself for his dad to call him, normally he just communicated via text to organise a meet up, but he sounded really troubled on the phone, which made Loki’s stomach sink. This wasn’t going to be good.
When Loki arrived at the hospital, he went in the usual vampire entrance, Lucius stood there waiting for him. He started walking quickly up the corridor as Loki reached him.
‘What’s going on?’ Loki asked as he rushed alongside.
‘The twins that you told me about with Chris last week, they were hunting humans, but it went very, very wrong. A vampire hunter went after them, silver bullets, took out Stevie.’
Loki stopped dead in his tracks, his heart shattered, he felt like he was about to be sick.
‘Son, come on. Kirsten is in shock, she could do with your support. She knows you, she might open up more about what happened.’
Loki managed to get himself to walk again, but his mind span. ‘How… how did she get away?’
‘That’s the thing. Someone else was watching, she managed to save Kirsten in time, but not Stevie. She killed the hunter, then brought Kirsten here.’ Lucius explained.
‘What? Who?’ Loki frowned.
‘I don’t know, she wore a large cloak and had her hood up. Didn’t say anything at all when she dropped Kirsten here at the doors, she waited until someone came to help Kirsten then she ran off. Kirsten managed to tell me that she was the one who saved her from a hunter.’
Lucius took Loki into a private room, where Kirsten sat on the edge of the bed, in complete hysterics, rocking back and fore. Her chin was covered in blood from a feed, and it had dripped down and smeared on her jacket.
‘Do you have any clean clothes she can get changed into?’ Loki asked a nurse, who nodded and rushed off to get some.
‘Kirsten… Hey, it’s me, Loki.’ He said softly as he picked up a basin and cloth that perched at the end of the bed, he walked on front of her and crouched down so he was in her view.
Her eyes widened slightly as she recognised him. ‘Mr Laufeyson?’ She whispered.
‘That’s me.’ Loki nodded and smiled softly.
Kirsten stopped rocking, but she looked completely shell shocked, she didn’t say anything else. Loki dipped the cloth into the warm water and began wiping the blood off her face.
‘You’re ok, Kirsten. You’re safe here. You’re not in any trouble either, but can you tell me what happened?’ Loki kept his voice soft and low for her. He finished cleaning her face then put the cloth back into the basin, the water had turned red as he pushed it out of the way.
‘My… my brother…’ She began sobbing uncontrollably.
‘I know, I know.’ He put his hand to the back of her head and pulled her into him. She cried against his shoulder until she had no more tears left.
She leaned back and looked at Loki through her tears. ‘I’m sorry…’ She whispered. ‘We knew it was wrong, but we… we thought it would be fun. After the traditional hunt, we couldn’t help ourselves after we'd had a taste. We should’ve stuck to the blood bags. I thought we’d be safe, Chris suggested that area.’
Loki’s eyes blazed red but he instantly calmed himself down. He looked over his shoulder at Lucius, who shook his head and ran a hand down his face.
‘Did Chris pressure you into doing this? Did he force you to go to the yearly hunt?’ Loki asked firmly.
‘No… not really. Stevie always talked about it growing up, he couldn’t wait to join when we became of age. Though Chris did tell us we didn’t have to wait for the next one to hunt, that we could just go and do it when we wanted to. He gave us a few areas that was supposed to be safe to do so…’ She began crying again, so Loki consoled her as best he could until her parents arrived.
When they arrived, Loki went to leave, but Lucius grabbed his arm. ‘Loki, where are you going?’
‘Where do you think?’ Loki snapped.
‘I’m sure he didn’t mean for this to happen.’ Lucius spoke quietly.
‘Remember last year, when Georgina was murdered by a hunter? A mere week after the traditional hunt. Do you really think Chris didn’t have a say in telling her to do it too?’
Lucius faltered and looked down.
‘Exactly. You know it and I know it, Chris doesn’t give a shit about what happens to these kids. All he cares about is the stupid traditional ways.’ Loki hissed, he then stormed out of the room, leaving Lucius to talk with Kirsten and her parents.
Loki saw red as he flew to Chris’ house. He lived right on the outskirts of the city, in an overly large Victorian style house.
Loki landed in the garden and turned back into his vampire form as he stormed up the path towards the front door. As Loki reached the bottom of the steps, the door swung open and Chris smirked cockily as he stepped outside and leaned back against the wall, arms folded over his chest.
‘Well, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?’
Loki stormed up the steps and instantly swung for him, punching him in the face. ‘YOU SENTENCED STEVIE TO HIS DEATH!’ Before Loki could get in another hit, Chris managed to block him with his forearm.
‘What are you on about?’ Chris snarled and pushed Loki down a few steps, to get a bit of space.
‘You know EXACTLY what I am on about. You’re sending these kids to their death, you’re so obsessed with the old ways and tradition. It’s sick and needs to be stopped.’ Loki shouted and lunged for him again.
Chris went for Loki too, but Loki ducked down, he grabbed Chris by the leg and tossed him off the porch. Chris slammed into the ground and skidded halfway down the garden. As he got up to his feet, his jaw clenched and his eyes were blazing red as he cracked his neck to each side.
Loki was poised, ready. However, he could never truly be ready to fight with Chris.
Chris took one big leap and swiftly landed back on the porch as he slammed into Loki, smashing them both down through the wooden decking and down into the dirt. He wrapped his hand around Loki’s throat, to keep him pinned down.
‘You can never get rid of tradition.’ Chris spat at him. ‘I think you’re forgetting, little brother, I am one of the originals. You can never beat me in strength. The traditions you are trying to erase, it’s in our blood. It’s in all of our blood, our true instincts.’
‘Your traditions are sadistic and out-dated.’ Loki struggled as he gripped Chris’ forearm, but couldn’t get him off.
‘Are you forgetting that it wasn’t just me that made these traditions, that made vampires what they are today. Our precious father was all for it too, until your mother came along and got him wrapped around her little finger.’ Chris sneered.
‘Do NOT bring her into this! He saw you’d gone too far with power, wanting to wipe out all the humans was too far.’ Loki shouted at him as best he could.
‘Only because of her.’ Chris snarled.
Loki turned into a bat to get out of Chris’ grip, he flew around behind him then turned again and attacked Chris from behind, he managed to grab his arm and pulled it back so far that a distinct snapping sound could be heard from Chris' shoulder as he let out a cry. Chris was able to grab hold of Loki with his good arm and jumped them both up from under the porch, they landed on the grass, tumbling around.
Loki screamed in agony when Chris’ fangs emerged and he tore into Loki’s shoulder in retaliation, ripping a chunk of flesh right out of him.
‘ENOUGH!’ Came a booming voice as Lucius seemed to come out of nowhere and sent Chris flying off of Loki.
Chris rolled away a few feet before coming to a stop, he whipped his head up and grinned ferally, his mouth dripping with Loki's blood.
‘Welcome to the show, dad. How about for old times sake, we teach this punk a lesson on tradition together, hmm?’ Chris laughed manically as he stood up.
‘Enough, Chris!’ Lucius growled at him as he stood between his two sons. ‘Both of you need to stop this!’
‘He’s responsible for the death of one of our students!’ Loki yelled as he got up to his feet too, his hand over his shoulder that continued to bleed badly.
‘It’s not my fault if silly teenagers decided to go out hunting without proper due care and attention.’ Chris wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Loki tried to get at him again, though Lucius blocked him with his body. ‘He’s trying to get a rise out of you, Loki. Enough.’
Loki's nostrils flared and his breathing was heavy as he scowled at Chris.
‘Listen to daddy, Loki.’ Chris mocked.
‘Chris, enough from you too.’ Lucius snapped.
‘Are you forgetting this is my home? He came looking for me, not the other way around. Now, if we are finished here, I have better things to be doing.’ Chris turned and began walking up his path.
‘You’re going to get all of us killed at this rate, Chris. Vampire hunters are on the rise again, hunting innocent humans is only going to make it worse.’ Loki shouted after him.
Chris turned around but continued walking backwards. ‘Not my fault, if dad here hadn’t changed his mind all those years ago, the humans would all be extinct by now and we would be thriving without the worry of being hunted.’
‘We can live in harmony with the humans, dad has proved that over the last century. There’s no need for it.’ Loki argued.
‘It's time for humans to evolve. It will happen, eventually, whether you like it or not.’ Chris said as he headed inside and slammed the door shut.
Loki hissed in pain at his shoulder, more-so now his adrenaline began waning. Lucius gently took hold of his arm and pulled the fabric of his clothing out of the way, it was torn up anyway.
‘Please tell me you’re not about to do what I think you are.’ Loki groaned.
‘Do you want to walk all the way back to the hospital? You won’t be able to fly like this, it will carry over into your bat form.’ Lucius waited for an answer before continuing.
Loki sighed. ‘Ugh, fine.’
Lucius couldn’t help but chuckle at his son’s disgust. To be fair, coming out of a vial was less icky, but needs must. Lucius built up plenty of saliva in his mouth and then spat on Loki’s wound, it instantly began to heal over.
It wasn’t too painful for Loki as it healed, just a slightly odd tugging sensation as everything regrew and mended itself.
‘Sometimes I hate the fact you’re one of the original five, but then times like this I guess it is handy.’ Loki huffed as he moved his shoulder around, finding it to be perfectly normal again and he had full movement.
‘You really shouldn’t pick fights with Chris, you know better than anyone you can’t win against him.’ Lucius said.
‘How can you be so calm about this?’ Loki frowned.
Lucius sighed. ‘I know there’s nothing we can do to stop Chris from doing what he wants. There’s no point fighting, it will only make it worse. He thrives off riling people up, you should know this by now. We are still getting through to vampires about the new ways, we’ve come far from the olden days. If hunters are on the rise again, we need to pull together.’
Loki ran a hand down his face. ‘I need to go. Thank you, for healing me.’
Lucius nodded, they both turned into bats and flew up into the sky.

Saturday Fantasy....
I knew who he was and I couldn't stop staring at him. I'd had enough to drink that when he caught me looking at him, I held his gaze as I finished off my glass of wine. There were so many people at the party, and I immediately lost sight of him. The next thing I knew, someone grabbed my hand and pulled me down a long hallway and into an empty room. "I'm George," he said. I laughed. "I know!" He pushed me up against the wall and I put my arms around his neck. "Is this ok?" he asked.
I answered him with a kiss. A deep long kiss, his tongue was insistent and I just melted into it, kissing him back just as enthusiastically. His hands were under my skirt and cupping my ass, then one hand let go and those fingers pulled the crotch of my panties aside and I was being finger fucked by George Harrison. "You're dripping wet," he murmured into my mouth. I groaned as he started rubbing my clit. "I want to taste that," he growled and I just nodded my head. "Please," I whimpered. My legs were shaking as he pulled my panties off and I stepped out of them. "Sit in that chair," he demanded. I pulled my skirt up around my waist and sat. He knelt in front of me, his hands pushed my legs wide and time stopped as his mouth began to devour my pussy. He nibbled my inner thighs to torment me before lifting my legs over his shoulders and he buried his face in my snatch and started eating me. I'd had boys go down, on me before, but not a man like this. His lips pulled my clit and sucked it as his tongue lashed and played and teased. I moaned as he slurped long and hard exploring my folds before finding my clit again. Every time he groaned, I wanted to cum. I held off because I never wanted this to end. "Fuck me, George," I pleaded. He stood up and pulled me to my feet. "Bend over." I bent over and held on to the back of the chair. I could hear George unzipping his pants. His hands held my hips and I reached back to stroke his cock, thankful it was big and long and rock hard. Soon I was full of him and he thrust his entire length, in and out of my pussy hard and harder. His hips were like a jack hammer pounding me good. He found my breasts and squeezed them as he fucked away. I was breathless as he punished my hole relentlessly while he pinched my nipples rubbing them between his fingertips, pulling them into hard knots. His grunts were getting louder and his cock was getting harder. "George," I gasped. "Oh, George!" I exploded onto his dick as he pumped me full of his hot jizz. "Oh, love, that was ..." he couldn't talk. He leaned against my back and I felt his cock shrink and fall out of me, his hot cum running down my legs. "Wow!" I sighed. "I could tell you wanted to fuck me when you stared at me across the room," he told me. "I've always wonted to fuck you, George. That's why I came to this party. I knew I would never get another chance." He found my panties, and wiped the cum from my legs. Then he stuffed my wet pants into his pocket. "Thanks," he said before he left. After I pulled myself together, I returned to the party, but I never saw George again. Had it been a dream? My bare ass under my skirt assured me I had had a darn good fucking by the sexiest Beatle. I had gotten it good by one George Harrison. I put my hand on my belly. If only.... but it was not to be.

Nest ao3
They get the call two hours before the shift is over.
Buck isn’t working, Dario from C-shift asked if someone could switch so he could go to a baseball-game and Buck offered.
Eddie is glad he isn’t there, doesn’t have to see it. It’s a boy. Maybe fourteen, fifteen. Skateboard vs. SUV. Tale as old as cars. He was probably on his way to school. His backpack lies five feet away, burst open. Eddie and Dario are busy with recovering the driver - but not busy enough.
The ride back is quiet. Eddie’s stomach churns at the thought of the boy - his parents, his dreams, his future. Their shift is over, so there’s no need - except survival - to store those thoughts away.
Maybe he had been into Guardians Of The Galaxy the same way Chris is right now - playing the game night after night. Maybe his parents had been at their wits end on how to coax him away from it.
Maybe he had spent every afternoon at the skatepark and came home on time and did his chores without having to be asked twice.
Maybe he’d wanted to become a pilot or a vet or a kindergarten teacher. Maybe he’d wanted to hike the Appalachian trail after graduation.
Eddie takes a shaky breath, steadying himself by grabbing his own thighs.
There’s a figure leaning against the glass wall of the locker room when they pull up at the station. Eddie feels Cap’s hand squeezing his shoulder in passing.
“Bobby texted me,” Tommy takes a step forward, forehead creased in worry.
“Oh.”
Eddie comes to a halt one, two feet apart from him.
“Evan is dropping off Christopher at school and has therapy after,” his voice is soft and measured.
Maybe Eddie almost flinched at the mention of his son.
He knows Buck’s schedule - all of their schedules actually, they have a shared calendar, so he’s not sure why Tommy mentions it, but he doesn’t really care either. He nods.
“Yeah.”
“You want to grab breakfast?”
“Not sure I have an appetite,” Tommy nods, eyes warm with understanding, “But I could do with coffee.”
“I’ll wait for you outside.”
Tommy wraps him in his arms as soon as Eddie approaches the car and Eddie lets himself fall into the older one’s arms.
“I’ve got you.”
Eddie inhales the familiar scent of Tommy and stays still for a moment, while Tommy rubs circles over his shoulder blades. Eventually Tommy pulls back, kissing his temple.
“You feel like driving?”
He shakes his head and doesn’t let himself worry about the logistics of letting his car behind in the 118’s parking lot. Instead he climbs into the SUV. There’s soft rock music quietly playing and Eddie remembers with a sense of gratitude that Tommy rarely listens to the radio but has a number of curated playlists on his phone.
“Feel free to change that to whatever you feel like.”
“No, it’s - It’s good.”
Tommy rubs his thumb over Eddie’s hand while backing out of the parking space.
“La Rosa ok?”
La Rosa is a tiny café in Ocean Park that has an elaborate coffee and breakfast menu and its own mascot in the form of Cupcake, the owner’s dog. Christopher, naturally, absolutely adores the dog.
Eddie nods and a short while later they find seats on the backyard patio that is equipped with seats in all different forms and colors.
“Talk to me. Tell me something. A story. Whatever.” Eddie doesn’t let go of Tommy’s hand even for a second, not when they walked here and not now, after they ordered.
Tommy hums, thinking for a moment, then he smiles and Eddie feels better already.
“I used to spend a lot of my holidays at my aunt’s house. When I was eight or nine, my cousin became really obsessed with Back To The Future . We would watch the first and the sequel - the third one wasn’t released yet - like every other day. He could recite half of the script. And I guess I had something like a crush on Marty, but that’s not the point of the story,” Tommy winks and Eddie squeezes his hand, “The town my aunt lived in had - no joke - the same kind of clock as in the movie on the town hall. I think in the movie it wasn’t town hall. Anyway. One evening, there was a thunderstorm raging outside and my cousin begged his mom to let us go outside. Not sure what he wanted to do, since we didn’t have an actual time machine, but he begged for like half an hour. My aunt obviously refused to let us go and my cousin got so mad he didn’t speak to her the rest of the evening.”
While Tommy told his story, the waiter brought their order: Café con leche for Eddie and a mocha and strawberry muffin for Tommy.
“Did you like spending time at your aunt’s?”
“Yeah. She was a really kind woman that also took no shit. I mean, she had to be, growing up with my dad, I guess. She was really into quilts”, he frowns, “I should have a quilt of hers somewhere, now that I think about it.”
Eddie smiles at the thought of a keepsake like that when he feels something nudge his knee. It’s Cupcake, who’s looking expectantly at him.
“Hey, bud,” he greets him, instantly starting to scratch his ears, “It’s good to see you!”
He lets himself get carried away and baby-talks to the dog for a while. So long, that when he looks up again, Buck is standing behind Tommy, hands on his shoulders. Both of them are smiling fondly at him.
“Did you sneak up on us?”
“A buffalo herd could have trampled through here and you wouldn’t have noticed,” Buck teases, rounding the table and sitting down next to Eddie. He leans forward, his hand cupping Eddie’s face. “Hey, baby. Chris says hi.”
Eddie swallows a whine when Buck withdraws his hand to grab the menu.
“I’m starving! I hope they still serve the three-cheese omelet.”
“Any thoughts on how to spend the rest of the day? My on-call doesn’t start until noon.”
Eddie shrugs, stirring his café slowly. Buck musters him.
“Your eyes are teeny-tiny, Eds.”
He smirks. “Maybe I’m a teeny-tiny bit tired.”
Tommy smiles. “I could do with a nap.”
“Same.”
“So that’s decided then?” Tommy raises an eyebrow.
“Looks like it,” Buck nods and grabs a fork to dig into the omelett.
When Eddie wakes up two hours later, Buck is propped up against the headboard, scrolling on his phone.
“Did Tommy have to leave already?” Eddie pats the empty side of the mattress.
“Hey sleepyhead. No. He’s looking for something in the garage. Didn’t want to tell me what,” Buck shrugs.
Eddie hums, positioning himself in Buck’s lap. Buck immediately starts scratching his head and Eddie sighs. For a while, they’re quiet.
“You want to talk about it?” Buck eventually asks.
Does he?
“I assume you have the context?”
“I texted Bobby.”
Eddie clicks his tongue, looking for words.
“I know that we have to suppress the fact that this planet is a really fucked up, unsafe place because otherwise…,” he shakes his head, “But it just hit me. Full force. Life isn’t safe and I won’t be able to protect him.”
Buck’s still caressing his hair.
“You think…,” he clears his throat, “A pedestrian hit by a car - that - You think that brought up something else as well?”
Eddie looks at him, looks at his face that’s so full of love and care and gentleness, and blinks.
It’s not like they don’t respond to that kind of call at least once a week. But the combination of a fourteen year old teenage boy and - his stomach clenches painfully.
His breath stutters, resentment rising in him. But Buck beats him to it.
“Grief is incredibly messy, Eds. There’s no endpoint to it.”
“I know,” he rubs his face, “But I have this,” he gestures towards the room, “I have you, and Tommy, and Chris is thriving … Then why -”
“Because you love her. Emotions don’t ask for reasons.”
Eddie huffs out a breath, still frustrated.
“It’s not going to get any easier if you’re trying to will the feelings away.”
He glances at Buck, a retort about therapy speech on his tongue when he hears rummaging in the living room.
“I guess he’s done,” Eddie claps his hand and pushes himself up, calling out, “Tommy, you wanna shoot some hoops?”
“Eddie,” Buck sighs, but his expression is so incredibly soft that it makes Eddie’s heart skip a beat.
He halts and bends down to give Buck a kiss. “I love you.”
It’s half past eleven, so they have at least half an hour until Tommy’s phone might go off and Eddie feels the stress bleed away from his body ten minutes in. He’s okay. Chris is okay. Tommy is okay. Buck is okay. They’re okay.
It takes Eddie all the self-control he has to not to hug Chris when he’s picking him up from school. Hugs in front of his friends are uncool. At least hugs in private are tolerated, yet.
Chris climbs in and sits down in the passenger seat (it took Eddie two weeks to adjust to that. He isn’t sure if Buck has adjusted yet.) and promptly connects his phone to the car radio.
“Learned anything exciting today, mijo?”
His son starts talking about the three types of sedimentary rocks and Eddie doesn’t get half of it, and surely isn’t as excited about it as Buck would be, but just hearing Christopher talk, and be excited, is enough to make him fill with warmth.
“I was thinking, if you’re done with your homework before dinner, we could watch a movie after.”
Christopher glances at him.
“It’s Tuesday.”
“Smart kid.”
“And Tommy is on call.”
Eddie raises his eyebrows. “That sounds a lot like a no, champ. Are you ill?”
Christopher scoffs. “I’m just confused. I mean, yeah, of course. As long as it’s nothing boring.”
“Just want to do something nice. And the aquarium really doesn’t fit into a weekday-schedule.”
“Yeah. Okay.”
By some kind of miracle Tommy is still at home when they have dinner and has the brilliant idea of making popcorn.
Buck and Eddie get settled on the couch, while Chris throws his legs over the armrest of the armchair.
“One second,” Tommy sets down the second bowl with popcorn and disappears for a moment. Eddie frowns but Buck shrugs cluelessly. They select the movie and Tommy comes back, holding a quilt in his hand.
“I found it,” he beams at Eddie and sits down next to him, so Eddie is squished in the middle (they really have to get a bigger couch). WIthout hesitation he spreads the quilt over them and Eddie marvels at the colors. It’s obviously a coincidence, probably some gendered bs, but Eddie’s heart fills with warmth when he sees the squares in different shades of blue and turquoise.
“Tommy, that’s … It’s really beautiful.”
“My aunt made it for me when I was ten,” he explains to Chris and Buck, “I found it in the garage this morning.”
Eddie rests his head on Tommy’s shoulder while caressing Buck’s hand with his thumb, while the opening credits of Back To The Future start playing.
The world might be a fucked-up place, but he has his own little corner inside of it. And that’s everything.

duncney week day 6: protectiveness
TD fangirls can be really, really annoying.
duncney song of the day: 'help me,' joni mitchell
also on my ao3!
The audience favorite for the cast of Total Drama is Owen, but, hey, Duncan's still pretty far up there. Of course, while Owen's popularity lies more typically with male viewers and young kids, a lot of Duncan's lies with the ladies.
And can you blame them, really? No one else in the cast is cool enough to own piercings and a mohawk. He made it past the team merge in both seasons, placing no lower than fourth each time. And he's punk, which Courtney claims is a reason he's not attractive (but she is so, so lying). Naturally, the chicks (and a good amount of dudes, too) are gonna be all over him.
Still, though. As great as all the attention can be, they're really just trying to eat lunch at their usual outdoor café right now.
"OMG, he's even hotter in person!" one of the two girls exclaims, whipping out her phone for a photo op. "Did you get more piercings?! It looks like you got more piercings!!"
"Sorry, girls," he says casually, holding up a rock on sign for the camera. "Same amount of metal in my body as usual."
"Yes, and if you don't mind," sniffs Courtney irritably. "We're in the middle of a meal."
"Well, it's not like we're here for you," the second girl says loudly. "Does Duncan even want to be here right now? Or are you forcing him into dating you, as usual?"
"Excuse me?" Courtney launches to her feet, leaning in close enough to the second girl that her face reflects back in the girl's glasses. "I don't force him into anything! But at least I actually have a boyfriend, instead of going around trying to steal someone else's!"
"Whoa, whoa, all right," Duncan says, spreading his hands placatingly. "Let's all just take it down a notch, eh?"
Courtney snaps her glaring gaze to him. "Not. Helping."
The first girl snickers then, and mutters to her friend with a smirk on her face, "Psycho bitch."
Suddenly, it's not so funny anymore. Blood roaring in his ears, Duncan stands, delivering his retort before Courtney's even finished stewing about it.
"No one," he says, jabbing a threatening finger at the two girls, glaring as violently as he can. "Calls Courtney a psycho bitch except for me."
One of them scoffs. "So you admit she's crazy? Why waste your time on her at all?" She grins, twisted. "Don't you think Gwen is so much more your style?"
"I think," says Duncan, steady as he can muster (so still at a respectable amount of venom). "That you should both leave."
An eye roll. "Fine, whatever. Can we get another selfie first?"
"Didn't you hear him?" Courtney snaps. "Piss off!"
They go, whispering to each other conspiratorially and throwing glances behind their shoulders.
"God, you're fucking amazing," Duncan tells her, shoulders beginning to loosen again. He scrubs a tired hand down his face. "What the fuck was even that."
When she doesn't respond, he looks up at her, quirking his eyebrow. "Uh, got something you want to share with the class, sweetheart?"
"You liked them fawning all over you! Don't deny it!" Courtney accuses.
Duncan rolls his eyes. "Come on, don't you kinda like the attention just a little bit sometimes? It's not like I was even remotely interested in either of them. As soon as they called you a bitch, it was a done deal. We told 'em to fuck off, and they did. Problem solved."
Courtney's eyes are at least a little less narrow now. "And you're not into Gwen, right?"
"Are you kidding me?" Duncan grins, shaking his head. "I'm offended you'd even ask, babe."
"...Ok." She deflates out of interrogation mode. "Sorry. I just get stressed out by all the...everything really easily."
"I get it." Duncan holds up his hand, flags down their waiter. "What do you say we take these to-go and finish them back at home?"
"Sounds good."
"You know," says Duncan, unable to stop himself from smiling. "You were so totally jealous back there."
To his delight, she pinkens almost instantly. "I was not. In your dreams."
"You're always in my dreams, Princess."
An even deeper flush. "You're so...Whatever. Let's get out of here." Her lips quirk up at the corners, twitching. "Besides. You'd lose it completely if another guy started flirting with me."
"Oh, is that what you think?" he asks her.
"That's what I know." The waiter returns the card, handing it to Courtney. "Thank you," she says. "You're always such a great waiter. Your arms and legs are so toned."
A grin spreads across the man's face. "Thank you, ma'am. You're very beautiful yourself."
Courtney giggles. The waiter leaves.
"What the fuck," Duncan says through gritted teeth, hands bunched in the tablecloth. "Was that?"
Seriously. He could kill that guy right now, prison sentence be damned.
But Courtney just smiles, the bitch, and says, "Simply a little social experiment. Let's go, hon."
